Hey all.
Our team looks like this:
Barthez
Desailly Leboeuf S. Pearce Stam
Poyet Lampard Beckham Izzet
Robbie Keane Hasselbaink
SWP: 23447 Div Rank: 9 World Rank: 2022 out of 135883 Transfers Remaining: 27 SWŁ Remaining: 1,610,000 Lineup Value: 77,060,000 SWŁ
Still waiting for the midweek match SWP. With only one match this weekend, we can take advantage of our surplus of transfers to make an all Aston Villa/Ipswich team. Any specific suggestions or other thoughts anyone? |

Go for it Bubba.I've favoured Villa with home advantage and a home game to follow. But they were horrible at Sunderland on Monday. El Tel

I just went Pearce->Ozalan, before the price change, because of Pearce's injury and probable market activity. I will trade into other Villa/Ipswich players later today to take advantage of any last-minute injury/lineup news. Any specific players I should watch for or avoid?

Holland from Ipswich is go. Bramble is suspended. Basically both teams suck so prepare for 20-30ish swps from most of the guys.
Wouldn't touch either team with a 10 feet pole if this wasn't the only game this weekend :) So I am getting 4-5 guys and saving trades to get rid of them.

Anybody else notice that the scores for Mondays game, Sunderland vs. Aston Villa have been added TWICE to teams totals ? This is obvious with 2nd place team Fulham cos he has suddenly jumped miles ahead when he only scored 200 SWP moer than most teams in the top 10, anybody else see this and will it be sorted ?
Also, they have not added up the midweek games either, what is going on !!!

Dai, This is worrying.I hadn't noticed the doubling of points from Monday.I do have the feeling that both last Wednesday's and Saturday's games have passed SW by.(Neither were in Premiership Pick'em). They are clearly very overstretched, and messing up on one game after another. When I was going apoplectic earlier in the season, your advice was to be patient because SW would sort it out.I have doubts.Any suggestions for action? El Tel PS Where was A. Wright on Saturday?

That advice seems to have come back to bite me on the rear I think El Tel, this IS very worrying. One thing I have noticed is that they do have the stats for Saturday's games, Aston Villa vs. Ipswich. The individual player stats are updated but they are muddled up, if you look then you can see that on each player's details, the last game in the list shows the stats for Saturdays game so they DO know about it but they have the wrong date (31/1), the opposition is correct though. Joachim had 246 !
My new advice would be to bombard Small World with e-mails but after sending about 10 e-mails I have not received 1 reply or even recognition that they have even received it. This is very very poor !!!
I know we are both doing well, in the Top 10 so a prize is at stake here. They must be able to update the game played on Wednesday, West Ham vs Chelsea, there is no way they can just dismiss it, if they do then a phone call will be needed I think !!!
The doubling of points is very worrying and it is a definite error, Fulham in 2nd place is a prime example of this and they should be put back to their proper score which is 255 SWPs less than what they have now. (James 201 and Alpay 54 have been doubled !)
I really do hope that SW fix this as they are really putting a dampner on a great fantasy game. They had major problems with SW Hoops last year and they did fix it so I am still hoping for a miracle or at least a message stating there is a problem !!! They cannot ignore e-mails !!!

Dai,they can and do ignore e-mails.I'm thinking one they ignored was the one from Opta with the West Ham/Chelsea stats. That was a good game for me with Cudicini,Ferrer,Desailly clean sheets and Jimmy's goal.Brilliant spot of Sat's SWPs:I looked, didn't notice.Dublin got 5.I did get so exasperated last time that I e-mailed Don Mathis, who replied from holiday putting me in touch with one of his executives. Now this guy repeatedly told me I had no case;then 3 days later all was corrected.I'll try him again. Can you post his e-mail address on the boards and I will send him an e-mail too. This has got to be sorted soon otherwise the game is going to be so screwed up it will be impossible to tell where you are in the standings. Don't forget to mention the doubled up SWPs from Monday too !
Wednesday was a great game too for me, Jimmy, Desailly, Poyet with an assist and Lampard should do well as usual.

I have sent an e-mail to both of these people but I cannot believe that SW have yet to even display a message stating that the problem actually exists. With the stats for Saturdays game being messed up then it makes me think that they must have some software problems which they can hopefully sort out, the lack of Chelsea-West Ham stats worries me a lot though.
SW is slowly but surely pissing me off, I am getting the feeling also that even if we finish in the Top 10 that we won't receive any prizes for our efforts as Motley Crue has still not received his prize for finishing 3rd in the Brazilian game and that finished ages ago !!
Is there anybody who played the Brazilian game in here who actually received any prizes ????

I played SW Golf last year and received a prize 4 months after the game ended, so there is hope. Golf stats this past weekend also had some problems, but SW is apparently working on them and there is an announcement on the site that they will be fixed shortly.
Based on this, I would assume they will get around to the Premier Soccer problems, but I agree with everyone that it is annoying that the problems exist so close to the end of this game. I'm trying to end up in the top 500 and win my division and there aren't many weeks to go. I need my points from Wednesday and Saturday!

See !! With a bit of coaxing then we can find some more SW Premier League managers coming out of the woodwork ;)
Good to hear from you Barrington and also good that you bring news which brings a little bit of hope ! They have included all previous midweek games and so I see no reason why this should change !! I am in 4 WWR at the moment so I am on for the TV but if this is not sorted then I will not hold my breath !
