Hi everyone. Here's where we currently stand:
D. James
F. Wilnis A. Wright F. Ozalan G. Barry
M. Holland L. Hendrie P. Merson J. Magilton
J. Joachim D. Dublin
tons of transfers remaining SWŁ Remaining: 32,820,000
I haven't yet thought about this weekend's fixtures, but I thought I'd post a bit earlier than usual because we have a lot more moves to ponder as we switch out of our Villa/Ipswich players. Any ideas on roster moves, matchups, etc? Thanks in advance. |

My thinking at the moment is to conserve a few trades for double weeks late in the season,so I'll stick with decent Villa players.Chelsea,Charlton,Liverpool,Soton and West Ham all have their next 2 games at home.Since I'm convinced that Houlier is picking his front 6 by drawing names from his hat, they are avoidable.Sigh,Adams' back makes him doubtful.Names to consider:Cudicini,Ferrer,Desailly,Hyppia,Babbel,Carrick,Lampard, and my banker-Jimmy Floyd.I just don't trust these post-Europe weekends El Tel

It does sound great to be able to conserve trades but these double weeks hardly ever work unless you have decent players playing. I think you can guarantee that Gerrard will play for Liverpool on Sunday and they should go with Heskey and Owen. Based on how Owen and Gerrard played last night then they look good picks, Gerrard is a rock !! Who needs Beckham and Scholes when you have Super-Steve !!!!!!

Dai,I understand your exuberance;Liverpool were good last night.Teamtalk is speculating that Houlier will rest his younger players(Gerrard and Owen)to save them for what remains a very congested fixture list, interrupted by international duty.I would bet on Emile to start. El Tel

I don't know about him resting Gerrard, they look a completely different team when he is not playing. Heskey will start and if you cast your mind back to when they played Derby earlier in the season you may remember him scoring a hat-trick, I don't think I can fit him into my team this week though due to lack of trades. Ah well, never mind eh !
