loki, I started playing MFLS way back in '96 when it started, and had a blast! I was disappointed when they turned it into a pay game and had not checked back into it since. Glad to see that it is free again, and it looks like it will be a fun season. I took the initiative to create a Rotoguru.com division. Password is guru, and all reading this are invited to join. I've set the favorite club team of the group to New England Revolution (since the Guru hails from Connecticut), but if everyone wants to vote for a different fave team, I'm open to it. Anybody have some good links to find some sleepers for this team? | |||||

About the only useful thing I've found in my research is some players on the leaders lists who look underpriced. Dema Kovalenko looks like quite a steal at forward at 80K, with 10 goals and 5 assists. Diallo's at the max 255K, but with his scoring he's still a great value. At midfield, Imad Baba is only 95K, but he's the PK specialist for the team, scoring 4 PKs, 1 other goal, and 9 assists. +/- isn't too bad either. Mathis at 200K seems like a good deal the way he scores, especially if he tears it up like he did last year in the playoffs. I also like Diego Gutierrez at 90K, had 11 assists last year, just have to watch those N/As and have somebody that can switch in for him. At D, I like Nick Garcia a lot. He plays on the best defense in the league in KC, he's only 90K, and he started every game last season. Hard to ask for much more than that. In goal, I'm going with Meola. 16 shutouts last season. 'Nuff said. If you want to go cheap, Joe Cannon with the 'Quakes was 4th in GAA last season, and is only 90K. Of course, some 30-40K guy will come out the opening weekend and score 2 goals and make all this moot, but it's a start, at least. :) | |||||
