My busy schedule and the start of baseball season are the culprits. Thanks for last week's suggestions. Anyway, we had a decent weekend and managed to break into the top 1000. Not bad for such a late-starting team. I haven't checked out this weekend's fixtures/team news but maybe someone already has some ideas to share? Oh yeah, Bradford also have a 2 game week. VI !! Good to hear from you mate !! To answer your question, no that is not true, Man Utd play Charlton on Tuesday 10th April. I have had a pathetic week in Hoops, I went invalid cos I didn't know about the US time change, cannot believe they did not post this on the site !! I was 86 WWR too and just about to catch you ;) You escaped for now ;) I am just going to add my SWPs that I should have got for that day onto my final score and that should tell me where I SHOULD have finished, not the same though !! GUTTED !! Still I am 2 and 14 WWR in the soccer which pleases me a lot. Does anybody know anyone who has actually received a big prize from Small World ? Cheers, Dai | |||||

VIDevilRays, I believe Man U play at home on April 10 v. Charlton (confirmation anyone?). It looks like this week the strategy to follow is Leeds/Liverpool players and maybe one or two good Charlton players (I can't think of any suitable Manc City players offhand). We've got lots of trades, so this is definitely possible. Some suggestions: Keep Babbel, Gerrard and Fowler (?). Pick some of the following--Westerveld, Rio, Ferdinand, Harte, Henchoz, Hamann, Bowyer, Kewell, Dacourt, Stu Graham, Heskey, and Viduka. | |||||

Hi Bubba and guys.It's back to Leeds for me.He can't change that team after its awesome display v Deportivo.The only issue,as I see it,is whether Bowyer is around next Friday or in the slammer.The jury is still deliberating. Stallworld is progressively taking all the fun out of this game with their continued incompetence.On my best team Wed's Villa v Leics points have been added to totals,but 154 points from Ipswich on Monday have not.Could anyone confirm this to be the case?It's happened so often before. El Tel, I can confirm that this IS the case, Ipswich v Southampton points have not been added yet, the problem could well be the volume of stats to go through and there have been a lot of games lately. It will be sorted, who knows when but it will, you know that. Frustrating though. Also ET, if we win a TV do u think we will actually receive it ? It sounds too good to be true. Bubba, I have not picked out a spot yet, I am not getting too carried away but it is a possibility. The prize for 2-10 WWR is a 36" TV it says. I was just wondering what the chances were of actaully receiving it, maybe I am being too negative....... VI, I wish you were right, the SWPs for the day I was invalid 4/4 have not been update yet it seems, I had my hopes up then but I can see myself falling big time. Also, looking at the Top 10 in the soccer, do you know if any of the other guys come to these boards ? | |||||

Dai,SW have delivered prizes to me in the UK.Indeed there is a Pete Rose signed baseball on my office table(hasn't brought my pitchers any luck this week),and an NBA hoops computer game in my draw(perhaps they don't have injuries and DNPs in that).A couple of (xl) T-shirts too.Since they did this game in conjunction with Planet Football,I think they would have to come across.My concern about points is that it seems to me they skipped Monday's and went straight to Wednesday and added those on.'We are Leeds........' That should be Fowler, not Viduka as the second striker (wishful thinking, since I had wanted Viduka but couldn't afford him so I had to keep Fowler). My bad. | |||||
