  Posted by: MikeMaz - [120591614] Thu, Aug 16, 12:01

Busy day here on wall street. We are missing the last 4 answers of a mensa challenge. 100 C in a R......11 P in a F (S) T ....13 = UFS... 6 B to an O in C. Let me know if you guys can get any of these. Thanks

Not sure your 2nd post is appropriate KKB, there are more than 11 players on a football team.

100 C in a R
"100 Centimeters in a Ruler"?

Not sure on this one, but a metric ruler is 1 meter long and is divided into 100 centimeters. Given that the test mentions Cricket and Football (Soccer), this may be it.

I recently completed this quiz, and am also down to "100 C in a R". I tried "100 Copecks in a Ruble" (and the various spelling variations thereof), and it didn't work. It's frustrating because I think it is technically correct.

If you need any of the other 31 answers, let me know.

Even further off topic here but very funny, Mentors emailed me about Mets possibly trading Ventura across town to the Yanks and I suggested that Phillips would probably take our bat boy in a straight trade. He just now replied with:
"Phillips should take a free Sabretts f***ing hot dog for Ventura. Throw in Ziel and Ordonez for a coke and some fries."
Well, I think it's funny.

Isn't it 6 "Bowls" in an Over in Cricket? Not balls, as far as I know. Is this an ODI? Or a Test? What if you score a century? What if they take a wicket? I don't know anything about cricket but be sure not to get a LBW.

Greenbelt, too easy, it was the first result of my search.

"It comes from the English game of cricket and refers to a bowler who takes three wickets with three successive balls. For those more familiar with baseball, this is an impressive achievement, similar to a baseball pitcher striking out three batters in a row, but much less common. It seems to have been the custom in the nineteenth century for such a paragon of the art to be awarded a new hat by his club as a mark of his success. However, it is sometimes also said that the phrase alludes to a distinctly more plebeian reward in which the bowler was permitted to take his hat around the crowd for a collection (not necessarily a bowler hat, of course: that was named after a couple of completely different chaps, Messrs Thomas and William Bowler, hatmakers). Hat trick was first recorded in print in the 1870s, but has since been widened to apply to any sport in which the person competing carries off some feat three times in quick succession, such as scoring three goals in one game of soccer."
