Subject: WTC Rumors answered

One of my favorite sites on the web is the Official Urban Legends home page (www.snopes.com). Really great/interesting site and the first place I turn whenever I get forwarded e-mails making promises.

Anyway, they've devoted a section to the rumors that have cropped up since last weeks tragedy and I thought you all might be interested (the Nostradamus prophecy is a fake! LOL).

Many on these boards did too, Gangman.

Thanks for the link, 6-9. I used to follow that site sometimes (my friends call me "Mr. Debunker") but I haven't checked it in awhile. Good stuff!

As soon as I read a copy of that crap on Sunday (my step mom got it from her sister and they believed it) I knew it was forced and fake. I have a little understanding of the Nost-meister and know that his quatrains are very broad and hard to interpret with any acuracy. I am glad there is a site out there that has de-bunked it so thoroughly.

Some people who study Nostradamus (along the lines of QB) had also stated that people were reading the quatrains incorrectly. In other words, they were reading them like they would normally read a book, but apparently that's not the way they were intended to be read (or deciphered as the case may be).

Glad you guys like the link. As I said this is one of my favorite sites. Especially when I get all those annoying e-mails. You know, all of those e-mail we get on a daily basis like:

"Hi, this is Bill Gates (e-mail tracker)..."

or

"Send this to 10 people and the taco bell dog will molest Grimace on your screen..."

or

"Send this to 100 people and the Red Cross will send $1 to help find little Jimmy..."

I'm the prick at work who responds to all those e-mails by attaching the web page from this site that debunks it (PD - lol - my nickname is the Internet Bandit). Check this out and also follow the link to their home page - it's good stuff.
