Subject: ATTN: rotowire subscribers

  Posted by: rockafellerskank - Donor [921448] Thu, Mar 07, 2002, 15:02

The below message is at the rotowire site. I am going to buy a subscription to the site in the next 24 hours. The first Gurupie that e-mails me with their information for a referral, will get the $10.00 bonus listed below. "Let us know who referred you" I am supposed to enter your e-mail address and user ID, so send both. I'm not responsible if they don't get your $10.00 to you. I'm just trying to so someone a favor here. Please make sure you qualify for their terms of referral. IE paypal account and all.

This thread will delete itself when I get a reply.

I subscribed a couple of days ago. Just gave 'em Dave Hall, and they credited his paypal account.

That is true too...can we just give Guru's email? Another way to add some $$$ to the GuruPatron fund. We are basically being referred through rotoguru anyway since there are links to rotowire from here.

biliruben That's a good idea. I'll e-mail Guru for his information so he gets credit.

I'll not delete this thread so others can do the same.

If you give them this email address: davehall@rotoguru2.com
I should get credit.

Alternatively, my RotoWire ID is "RotoGuru". Or just use my real name, "Dave Hall". Some of the folks there know me, so just about any identification method will probably be sufficient.

Thanks. If you do this (and if I can identify the source as you), I'll credit your GuruPatron balance with the $10.

I was able to recognize biliruben's referral earlier this week. But another came in yesterday, unattributed to any name. Anyone want to claim credit?

Also, if you do use me as your referral, please send me an email. That will alert me to look for it, and will help in identifying the appropriate source.

BUTT

Be sure to give them Guru's name again, if you're signing up for rotowire this year. As an added incentive, it seems they're sending out copies of their magazine to the early subscribers for baseball...

Guys,

I'm thinking about signing up for this season, I was wondering if you really think it's worth the money? How accurate are the projections? Did you have success using this information last season.

Can anyone compare and contrast this with the info available at rototimes (for free) or baseballhq. Thanks, I appreciate the info.

If I decide to sign up I will give Guru the referral.

BTW- I will be using the info for an rotiesserie auction draft. I'm not sure if anyone else has used them for an auction league before.

actually, polack, they've got a customized dollar value/rankings application. You feed in the details of your league (# of managers, # of pitcher/hitters and categories) along with the salary cap and the amount of money you want to spend on hitting and pitching. It'll then output recommended bid amounts for each player.

I've used it for some draft leagues, but this facet seemed to be geared toward auction leagues. Player updates are generally quite good, though they didn't tell me Juwan Howard had the flu until well after the fact.

I have used it for several years (the last 1 1/2 years I have had to pay). Well worth the money. No site is absolute, but I get more good heads-up on injuries than all other sites combined. Second only to the Guru in overall usefullness, however, Kafenatid and Rototimes also have been helpfull (in maintaining my distance behind the division leaders).

Play ball.
