I would have been in sooner but had no idea what the league was when I got the notice. I thought it was just some random league with managers who are out to lunch. Well..... :)

Anyway, I'm in. Anybody want to trade for my waiver priority?

I'm in need of a fix. Haven't made a trade all year in two leagues. One league, I've made probably a dozen offers and all of them have either been rejected w/o comment, countered seeking the sun, the moon and mother earth itself, or been raked across the coals for having the audacity to think I could possibly have one of his Lord's players, no matter how much I offer for them. I'm fiendin here fellas. Can ya help a brother out?

Geez Ref, quit being so unrealistic in those other leagues and maybe someone will trade with you. The problem is obviously on your end, and therefore, your penance is to make a quick post-draft trade that greatly benefits the other GM, in an effort to show your new league members your kindness and generosity. My suggestion is to make that trade with the commish of your new league, whoever that may be.

You can thank me later for the advice. I feel it will help you achieve peace within yourself.

Mike D, was this the league invite you sent me? If so, I'm going to have to decline. Baseball has fallen from favor for me (ignoring the fact I am under a crushing load at work that takes away from my fun time anymore...bastards!)

Thanks for the invite, as I love being in the heavy trading leagues (and winning the TM cat! :) Perhaps in hoops again.

It was definitely an unofficial category in Hoops, which was readily posted. The battle for TM supremacy was intense, and alas, RSF was king.

Yes, the invite was for this league, you (trading) fool! And yes, I wanted a rematch!

That's ok. Mid-season leagues go too fast anyway to really compare them to full-season. But the draft, and the deals, now I'm down with dat!

RSF---thanks for communicating though. I was almost forced to start a thread by a unique name, something like......."attn: RSF."

Well, one was yesterday and one was this morning. Moving in the right direction. ;)

Midseason leagues start slow, and everyone wants to see things develop. But the problem is it takes a loooooong time for stats to severely seperate (say that 5 times fast). By that time, it's kinda late. So my proactive approach has often been met by a right hook to the jaw.....that's ok, I'm up off the canvas, ready to show wiggs how to counter an offer.......

That's my problem, I am having trouble deciding which area isn't gonna correct itself on my team.

I guess I am ready to move some hitting (preferrably one of my 1b) for a closer. I could really use a 2b who can hit his weight in average too.

Prior is killing me. Beltran is driving in runs and hitting HRs but his average is horrid since he landed in Houston.

Rumor has it, Farn went to Burma to meditate with one J. Peterman in order to better evaluate the offers he has on the table. I am still searching for confirmation though.

Mike,
Sorry I didn't respond to your trade offer.
I've been buried at work.
Saw the email, but not the offer in Yahoo.
Send again and I'll check in the morning.

Mike D, if given the choice which title would you rather have:

1. Manager to make most trades
or
2. Manager to win the division

That's a no brainer. And I'm still rattled by one Mr. Fluid winning the TM category in Hoops! Always next year......

Things are constantly changing in the sportsworld. Sometimes we get forced to make roster moves because of it. Other times it is just fun to put our psychic abilities to the test and make deals based on what we expect.

In all cases, the back and forth interaction and thought processes are more a way to "play" the game than simply sitting back and doing nothing. There is always a way to improve your team. Always a deal that can be made.

Thanks for your time, and glad you made it home safely. ;)

Well, I need somebody who's BA is better than Uribe. Durham is hitting .220 over the past month. Yes, that's better than Uribe's .145 but that doesn't exactly help me.

Anybody need ? He's back from the DL and needs a fresh start on somebody's squad.

True, but he's 22 out of 100. Only 8 more hits and he'd be at .300, and you'd be drooling (more than usual, anyway, lol). Plus he has scored 22 runs in that time frame along with 6 homers, 17 rbis, and 2 steals........gotta look at the total package, the big picture, and the trades made category, not necessarily in that order.

Is it sad that I still want to make the trade so I can have another one under my belt? Trading with you doesn't help though. If I want the title we have to keep you from trading and make trades amongst ourselves.

got your offer wiggs. Mulling it over. My concern is 3 fold:

1. I have been hearing that Sheff is still in pain and is trying to put off season ending surgery on his shoulder.
2. Will Washburn come back to earth?
3. Will Vazquez pitch like the old Vazquez or will he continue to look like Derek Lowe (who has killed my staff all season)?

Give me a little bit to mull some more.
