I've never asked for advice before but this one has me a bit perplexed.

First off, my roster is:
C - Towles
1B - Howard
2B - Pedroia
3B - Lowell
SS - Tejada
OF - Guerrero
Francoeur
V. Wells
Util - Konerko
BN - Willingham
Garko
Ibanez
Kouzmanoff
Sp - Halladay
Bedard
Rp - Nathan
Gregg
P - Myers
Sheets
Harang
Bn - Jimenez

Categories - R, RBI, hr, sb, tb, AVG, W, L, SV, K, ERA, WHIP

I've been offered Damon/Maine for Sheets/Francoeur.

I'm leaning towards it a bit since I am so deficient in Sbs, it's not even funny, but I'm leary of giving up a #1 starter for a #4 starter. Sheets, if healthy could easily win 20 games, but Maine does pitch for the Mats, who obviously have a pretty potent offense and should give him a lot of run support.

I see Francoeur and Damon as a wash. BTW, this was an autodraft and the only person with more than 20 SBs on the waiver wire is Jerry Owens, who doesn't even start.

What do you suggest? I was thinking of countering with just Francoeur for Damon. He already has a plethora of SB options in Pierre, Furcal, C. Young(ARI). And Taveras on his bench.

I don't think Johnny Damon is a good source of SB this year. Even if he doesn't break down (note, those concerns are why Boston would not give him the length of contract he was seeking)he'll be lucky to hit 20SB.

As for Sheets vs Maine, the predictors I'm using have Sheets ahead of Maine in ERA/Whip (but not by much) and have Maine ahead of Sheets in K's (but not by much).

Find out which player he really wants from you (sheets or Franceour) and counter with something like Tejada/hisplayer of choice) for Furcal/XXX.

furcal seems to be a better option than Damon.
