10 team h2h league, keep 8, (4th year)
offensive cats: RBI, R, HR, AVG, SB, K, OBP, SLG, E
I get Ortiz for Crawford.
Crawford is 26 and Ortiz is 32. Based on our league format Ortiz, is better in RBI, Runs, HR, OBP, and SLG. Crawford takes SB and the rest are a wash.
I have Rollins and Soriano and should be able to get some more steals help in the draft. My thinking is that Ortiz is much more valuable since he will help with 7 cats compared to only 4 (R, AVG, SB, E) with crawford.
of course, the x-factor is the age difference. If Crawford ever gets his power numbers up, then this could be stupid. However, I think if i can get 2-3 more years out of Ortiz, it may be worth it. (especially since I also have Pujols and Ortiz would provide an insurance policy)
am I stupid for even considering this deal?thoughts?

You keep 8, and you have Crawford, Ortiz, Rollins, Pujols, and Soriano. I can't really come up with any circumstance where I wouldn't keep all five.
