Good afternoon everybody! As Guru has indicated in the main thread, its time to start up the RiBC leagues again. I'm excited and anxious to get things started.

I have a league set up on Yahoo. Right now I will only be accepting those who guru has indicated qualify for the AAA league and specifically those who have a preference to use Yahoo over espn. If you truly do not care, I believe guru wants you to sign up here.

If you qualify for AAA and want the bette..errr the Yahoo league and would prefer not to be at espn, then please sign up here.

I have 2 requests. Please leave your email in this thread. And until everything is up and running, please use a name that is OBVIOUSLY connected to your rotoguru.com handle. This goes for the draft (which I will be setting up at drafttime shortly) and the yahoo league both. Once the draft is over and I have all teams inputted, you can make your teamname anything you want. But its a HUGE help if I don't have to spend 5 mins every time I go back to the sites doing cross reference to make sure I'm getting the right players inputted on the right team.

The Yahoo league is set up. As qualified yahoo players are verified I'll email them the information.

      Fri, Feb 24, 2012, 09:14 		RIBC AAA yahoo is filling up fast. i'd like to amend one request since everybody already has a drafttime handle that may not match rotoguru. Please make sure you choose a team name on yahoo that is somehow obviously attached to your drafttime handle.

And post in this thread what your drafttime handle is. This will help me set up drafttime and orgnanize the draft order and t hen help me input the draft into yahoo more easily. After the draft is inputted, feel free to name your team anything you want. This is not a rule, just a QoL request from me.

      Mon, Feb 27, 2012, 14:26 		MBT, we're not starting until we're full. Right now with Holt we are at 13. At this points its a bit tough to say if we'll even be picking draft order this weekend or not.

But you have my email address. We can always do a text exchange or work something out. Lets get full first, then figure out the details.

And with Holt here, this league just got a WHOLE lot harder. This league has a real familiarity mix. Like Holt and Da bomb I've been in one league or another with for over a decade. Others like dpr and Loki I've had a league or two with over the past year or two. Others this may be my first time crossing leagues with them. There are NO push overs in Yahoo (the espn league looks pretty tough, too).

I will say this: I expect year long activity in my leagues. I do report lack of activity to guru. While in most cases it may have no effect, I'm sure its something that gets considered when decided who gets called up to replace at AAA and big league level. Remember, more than 1st place gets a callup to the big leagues next year. And it goes down pretty deep before you get bumped to the AA leagues. So effort the full year is well worth it.

Because its what guru does?

Truthfully I think it has to do with starting from a random starting point. The first set of numbers randomizes us and that is our true starting point. The second set of number is a random order of randomly ordered people. Its a step removed and less biased. At least that is what I always assumed it was done this way.

      Wed, Feb 29, 2012, 20:10 		I think two lists were initially done when Guru solicited lists from two different managers to eliminate the possibility someone could rig favorable numbers if he solicited only one list from one person. If one person is doing it above board then random is random and one set would be enough but two perhaps maintains the integrity.

It will be a 4 hour clock and there will be a single clock for those on the turns, not double.

Feel free to make picks you want to make between now and Tuesday but no clock until then. This should give people plenty of time to get in and set que's.

The clock will be paused from 1am until 8am EST each evening.

Yes, some of you I know from last year. However I enter draft results in as we go so I don't have to find a huge chunk of time after the draft to do it all at once. This will be a big help for me to be able to look and say, "Hey, Holt drafed rob deer, ok I can add rob deer to his team." Otherwise every time I go in I have say, "Kemics picked Don Drysdale. Ok, which team is Kemics again? Let me check the boards and see who Kemics is..ok MattG, now who is MattG's team in Yahoo?"

If you can just put SOMETHING in your yahoo team name that is similar to your drafttime name until the draft is over its a big, big help for my sanity (which there isn't much of these days.)
After the draft is entered, feel free to make your team name anything you want.

Then there is a big handful of players who seem about equal but seems like they would better suited for late next round or maybe even my round 5 pick.
