Is it permissible to draft a player who is not in the Yahoo or Draftime data bases? Yahoo's settings say "All Baseball."The commissioner of my RIBC AAA league has deferred to you. |

Response received from Guru:
Placeholders are allowed for unlisted players during the draft, but once the draft is over, any F/A pickups must be available at the site.
also, Judy had a good point. If the name is not listed, email fred at drafttime and he'll get the player added asap.

I will email Fred, but it is my turn and do not want to hold things up.

Ok, post who you actually want and when fred gets the player added, I'll make the switch.
In yahoo, once all draft results are entered, we'll find a suitable place holder for you until yahoo adds the guy.

Even easier, just add the player as a "Placeholder" player when it's your pick and I confirm when I get a chance. This way, you get the player and don't have to wait for me.
Of course, you'll need to make sure that the player isn't listed in the Draftime database first.
