With the news that Fireleague will not be having a baseball fantasy game this season does anyone have a good recommendation for a Salary Cap style game that is reasonably priced? I seem to be hoping sites year to year and would like to find a good stable site, but don't know of any other games with the Salary Cap format.
Thanks! |

Went to Fireleague message boards, saw that there is a salary cap league referenced there , Fantrax site, it is a private league, welcome to all ex tsn, fireleagers, the instructions on how to join are clearly given, and i set up one team there today.

I played this game a couple of years ago. You put your active team together up front within a salary cap. You have an extensive bench that doesn't score in a period, but also doesn't count against your salary cap for the period. You can only adjust your roster (moving people on and off your bench) on a weekly basis, and only had a total of 15(?) waiver transactions for the entire season. I didn't enjoy it. Just one man's opinion.

Not sure what game the above poster is referring too, but the Fantrax gams is a SalCap game consisting of 9 fielders/5 pitchers. Every week 3 hitter and 3 pitcher trades are allocated. Each week the team salary cap is adjusted upwards so by August your team is studded up. Sean runs the league and does a fantastic job. I've been playing there for several years. It's a very stable and reliable site.
