Subject: Help Me Pick a MI!

  Posted by: Mith - [231150292] Fri, Mar 27, 2015, 19:01

I clearly could have done better at MI than Joe Panik.

It's a deep league so options are limited but here are what looks like the most attractive players currently available:

Chris Owings
Jace Peterson
Jose Ramirez
Micha Johnson

I think I'm probably in better shape in SB than HR, so I've listed Owings first but in a bubble I think I like Peterson's upside more.

One important factor I should stress is that there are weekly changes and no bench in this league, so playing time is important. As far as I know, Ramirez is the only one who has locked down a starting job so far.

So who does the Rotoguru forum like for me?

The news out today is that Peterson has beat Callaspo for the job, fwiw, but if you don't need SB then I'm not sure how helpful he'd be.

That's quite a hodge podge of players to pick from. Since you use both OBP and BA, that would help eliminate a lot of them, along with the guys who won't play every day.

I hadn't seen the Peterson news. He's easily my upside favorite, with Owings next.

I'll check the reports but that probably seals it.

Unless you get definitive confirmation that Peterson is the starting 2nd baseman (last I read today he was still competing) I'd with Micah Johnson.
Your pitching looks pretty solid. I might try to fill MI with a trade rather than one of these guys, though.
