I think most favor Yahoo so we'll be running Yahoo for this league. One big change I plan on making is Ohtani will be separate players this year. Thoughts, questions, post them here!

There is a slight complication with the Ohtani solution: Draftime is no longer supporting the two Ohtani's in their draft. Fred suggested using the given Ohtani as the pitcher, and manually entering the hitter Ohtani upon drafting.

This is not a great solution - a bit clunky - but I don't see another option since we already did draft selection. If I had known this I would have gone with what RIBC decided on - one player and you lose the roster spot.

Any thoughts on this while we await signups to complete?

Last year we did the additional guy via waiver because nobody listened to me when I suggested we draft the guy instead. Hopefully, we don't do this waiver thing again out of ignorance. It is an unnecessary complication.

Draft drags on long enough already Another round is another day. The 26th roster slot was a Covid contingency. I would expect less players on a Covid IL this year and surely not expecting canceled series like 2020. I’m for going back to 25 slots.

It looks like RIBC is leaning towards drafting 26 so we will do the same. We are about 3 days later getting started than I would have liked so we will probably go timed from Monday on.

Because of health issues, I cannot participate in fantasy baseball leagues this year. My apologies for letting you know this close to the beginning of the season, but I truly thought that I would be able to play. Unfortunately that has proved not to be the case. When I got back home I forgot about the draft. Now I see that the draft is stopped and I cannot pick, while in past years I remember I could pick while draft was stopped.
I take the yellow card!!!
P.s. I am from Italy, so I have a six hours difference... anyway in past years I missed very fewpicks, and not in the first rounds...

Fun facts about baseball of yore while we wait for the draft - Moyer had a career 5.4k/9 rate. Greg Maddux = 6.06k/p; Tom Glavine = 5.3k/p.

Randy Jones won 22 games and the Cy Young Award in 1976 with a 2.65k/9 rate. Jones struck out 93 guys over 315 innings and still had a sub-3.00 ERA - Ryan Helsley struck out more last year than Randy Jones did in 1976 in 251 fewer innings!

Also I have not been getting emails when it's my turn until hours after. Like I just got the email and it's been my pick for 2 hours. Anyone else having this issue?

      Wed, Mar 22, 2023, 13:12 		Nerf - I'd like to suggest we shorten the clock to two hours. There are a handful of managers who never, ever use auto-pick nor pipe up in here about delays so it seems the only way to get this draft moving in a timely fashion is to shorten the clock.
