Welcome to DRAFT SEASON for G20 2023. Starting this a little early with our previous thread being temporarily disabled.
Draft season schedule: - Keepers are due TODAY at Noon ET - Prospect keepers are due TOMORROW, Tuesday the 14th, at Noon ET - Prospect Draft starts Wednesday the 15th, Noon ET - Draftime will be opened by Saturday the 18th - Four hour draft clock will start Sunday the 19th
A few reminders for this year:
1) Four IL spots are available to Keepers, Prospects and "10th keepers" ONLY. Please be cognizant of the player restriction and manage accordingly. We will be self-policing this - if you see something awry, please let a Commissioner know.
2) Up to 10 COVID IL spots are available to ANY player on the COVID list. Hopefully the days of massive COVID outbreaks - or even too many individual days - are completely behind us. But, since the site allows it I have extended it. This does require the player to specifically be on MLB's COVID list and be recognized / designated by Yahoo. This will also be self-policing.
3) The Shohei Ohtani exception. Please be reminded, and for clarification for our new managers, youngroman has owned Ohtani since our days hosted by ESPN. When we made the move to Yahoo, we wrote in an exception to allow BOTH the hitter and the pitcher to be treated as 'one player' for keeper and roster purposes. youngroman may drop and re-pick up Ohtani in Yahoo as many times as he wants in order to have something resembling the roster flexibility they had at ESPN. No other teams may pick up either the hitter or the pitcher. NOTE: youngroman (or any team he is traded to) must ALWAYS roster at least one Ohtani to retain these rights.
4) Protected prospects are shown as free agents in Yahoo - please be cognizant. You know when something is too good to be true....then it usually is? Please be aware of who is on the prospect list before picking up players that might have been prospect-eligible.
5) Trade Deadline is August 24th. Our rules indicate that our trade deadline is the last day available in August on our host site. That is August 24th this year.
6) Once the Supplemental Draft is over and the league year has started, we revert back to our 7 votes to veto a trade rule. Thank you Trade Committee for your diligence this offseason.
BEST OF LUCK TO ALL TEAMS! |

Keepers have been entered. I presume you will see a notice from Yahoo saying 'the draft results have been entered and your season has started', or the like. This is our workaround so that we will have a LIVE free agent pool to assist managers through the Supplemental Draft.
But first we will have our Prospect Keeper deadline tomorrow at 12:00pm ET. Our Prospect Draft clock starts Wednesday at 12:00pm as well. I will have the Prospect Draft thread up tomorrow night and picks can be made.
For the Supplemental Draft, as a reminder to all, and to help our new managers, here are the important logistics to be aware of:
- Draftime is the domain to make our picks - We have a 4 hour clock! Use your queues!! - Players must be in the Yahoo pool to be eligible to be drafted (even if they show available in Draftime) - We make all non-keeper players free agents in Yahoo to act as a helpful guide / database for the Supplemental Draft - Managers are to pick up their own Supplemental draftees from the Yahoo database and add them to their team --- this keeps the integrity of the players shown in Yahoo as pure as we can - A player IN Yahoo but not noted in Draftime may be drafted by using the free form player entry feature - HOWEVER, there are discrepancies between Yahoo and Draftime -- Draftime is the overriding platform --- this relates most specifically to PROSPECTS. Prospects are "removed" from the Draftime database to the extent that our prospects are IN the Draftime database to begin with --- managers need to self-filter prospects shown available in Yahoo as they build their queues and draft boards
Good luck and happy drafting! Hit me up via email or text, or post here with any questions.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR DRAFT GRIDS!
I really try hard to keep up. It's a lot, and at some point I refuse to do the work of 20 men. You do it yourself, it is 1/20th of the work. So, from this point forth I put it on YOU!
Draftime picks are already entered and the latest trades accounted for. You can't see those until I open the draft, but get ready to check them too.

NOTE: Now that we are past the keeper deadline, the trade moratorium on keepers from your 9 is now in effect. This does not impact prospects.
That means that approval on pick / prospect trades now lies with myself as Commissioner, although I would likely consult the trade committee for a second opinion if I felt a trade needed it.
We have several DRAFTIME Co-admins (whether they volunteered or not / know it or not at this moment!) in Guru, Tosh, Thumper and blue hen. In the heat of the draft, I may have professional appointments and be away at the time a pick that is on the clock has been traded. They are empowered to make those trades in DRAFTIME to keep things moving.

G20ers: I confirmed post 4 via text but was in professional meetings and could not adjust my Prospect Keepers. The deal was constructed with the intention of my 10th keepering these two prospects.
Obviously I went over the deadline, but our negotiations on the deal relied upon this fact.
I would allow any manager in a similar situation to post their confirmation (and corresponding roster changes) after the deadline, so long as the posting manager can attest to the other party having agreed via text or other fashion.
So, speak now if you think this is going over a line, preferential treatment to myself as Commissioner. Otherwise I will approve it and we move on to the Prospect Draft.

Post 5: Ah, WG 10th keepered Groshans and Pearson anyway, prior to the deadline, so considering the trade includes prospects and S-picks, and doesn't impact the Prospect Draft grid / forfeited picks, I am processing that trade as it didn't (potentially) violate the sanctity of the Prospect Keeper deadline nor our moratorium rule (which specifies keepers only).
Now, blue hen and Great One's trade was definitely completed post-keeper deadline. What that means is, at Noon ET sharp, the Prospect Keepers are final and all of their forfeited picks are then processed and the grid updated. Though blue hen's review (after I pointed this out), it shouldn't impact the trade. But I will grant them the ability to restructure if it does.

All trades are done and entered into the Constitution, the Draft Grids and Draftime.
All prospect picks that were forfeited have been accounted for. Only a few picks after the mid-3rd round this year! I will set up the Prospect Draft thread next.
All keepers and 10th keepers are entered into Draftime.

Prospect Draft thread is LIVE!
Managers may choose to pick immediately, however they are under NO obligation to do so. Not everyone has their draft board completed yet with keepers only finalized 3 hours ago.
The clock starts (be aware of pick clock! Use queues!!!!) at Noon ET tomorrow.
HAPPY DRAFTING!

Time to collect dues for the prize pool for 2023
For those in the pool, the annual charge is $15. The pool is distributed to the top 6 in the standings. Typically, the winner gets around $90-$100, and 6th place gets $15, with the scale grading in between. Final determination of amounts depends on the number participating in the pool each year.
New teams in the league may wait one year before deciding whether to be in the pool. Of course, if you defer in your first year, you are ineligible for a prize in your first year. Starting in year #2, you must decide whether to be in or out. If you are in, you must remain in the pool each year going forward. If you ever decide to opt out in the future, you may no longer re-enter the pool.
Blue Hen is out of the pool.
Bobo & Taxman each deferred their option to 2023, so they must decide to be in or out this year.
The following new managers have the option to join this year, or to defer the decision until 2024: VampireWeekend, ttucowboy
Some people have funds on account (from previous winnings) to cover their $15 dues for this year.
The following five managers have enough funds on account to fully cover dues for 2023. BMD, Great One, Jon Dowd, Species, Thumper
Everyone else owes $15
If you think I have missed funds on account for you, please let me know, Otherwise, you may pay in one of these three ways:
PAYPAL: send to davehall@rotoguru.net. (Note: please use rotoguru.net, not rotoguru2.com) Designate this as “send money to friends and family”, and mark the payment only as "G20 baseball"
VENMO: I also have a Venmo account now. If you want to pay by Venmo, let me know.
CHECK via SNAIL MAIL: check can be sent to the address listed at the bottom of this page: http://rotoguru2.com/gurupatron-info.html If you snail mail, please tell me in advance so that I can mark you as tentatively paid until the check arrives.
Payments are due NOW. Please pay promptly so I don’t have to keep pestering you.

I am going to cut Tree slack this round of the Prospect Draft while he is in Europe. He wouldn't time out until nearly the overnight pause.
We made excellent progress today. It is his only pick.
That said, in Europe he would be getting up soon. If he does not pick by 7:00am ET he will be skipped and blue hen may pick and the draft moves on.

Catching up on some administrative duties. All trades now entered. Grids should be accurate. Draftime keepers, 10th keepers and 'removed' players (prospects) are all updated.
I am opening Draftime early as I am traveling this weekend for a family birthday. Draftime is open for the next 24 hours SOLELY for the purpose of reviewing your picks! I make mistakes and miss entering things in one form or the other between entries in the Constitution, Draft Grids and Draftime. I now put the onus on each of YOU to check for accuracy. While I despise screwing something up to where a manager does not get the pick they should have / traded for / etc, if you do not point out the error in advance I defer responsibility.
Great work on the P-draft. Nearly done. Everyone is as sharp as usual.
PS - You suck Pete!

GREAT prospect draft everyone. Wheeling and dealing, buyers and sellers with, as usual, sharp minds on top of not only who is ranked where but who the "this guy could be top 20 next year" type of high-risers.
The Supplemental Draft is now OPEN on an UNTIMED, optional basis. Managers may go ahead and pick if they desire, but they are not required to do so until tomorrow. Clock starts officially Sunday the 19th at Noon ET.
As a reminder to all, and to help our new managers, here are the important logistics to be aware of:

Congratulations on a spot-on draft. Did we even have a single timeout?
Next step: A commissioner, typically Tosh, re-enters the whole draft so that the pool of undrafted players all go on waivers. Waivers will be reset at that time, and the league will move on to the regular season portion.
NO PICKUPS ARE ALLOWED UNTIL THE DRAFT IS RE-ENTERED AND ALL PLAYERS ARE ON WAIVERS. Once the pool is on waivers, all adds are handled as normal via the Yahoo league site.
The Keeper Moratorium, restricting the trading of keepers, expires Noon ET on April 12th. I may have a player or two available!

Great preseason everyone! With rare exception, all managers were on top of their drafts - picking timely and picking well.
Thank you Tosh for re-entering our draft, which allowed me just now to start the season officially. All undrafted players are now on waivers, and you may now transact them normally using the Yahoo site.
Managers may call up their prospects at any time. Simply designate so here in the thread and make the pickup in Yahoo.
Please be cognizant of protected prospects showing up in the Free Agent list! Picking up protected prospects opens you up to public ridicule and potential kangaroo court penalties.
Best of luck to all!

Con: we lose one SP slot on the day we go over innings limit (unless an RP eligible guy is starting)
Pro: we can filter by RP in search

So we have $240 to allocate to the top six teams this year. These are the likely payouts: 1st: $90 2nd: $55 3rd: $35 4th: $25 5th: $20 6th: $15

The trade moratorium impacting Keepers has now expired.
I do have highly productive veteran players that are available for trade in the right circumstances:
Jose Abreu, 1b, HOU Traditionally a slow starter, Abreu always turns it on when it warms up. As Houston's cleanup hitter, he is in a prime spot in one of the best lineups in the league.
Christian Yelich, OF, MIL High OBP. Strong sb. Strong runs with the chance to turn it on in the power categories.
Jacob DeGrom, SP, TEX The best pitcher on the planet when healthy. A risk, certainly. But with so many stud SP having already gotten hurt (Verlander, Rodon, Woodruff, Fried, others), is ANY SP really 'safe'?
I understand the risks, so I do not price DeGrom like the #1 overall SP. But I don't rank him 15th either.
Guys that are certainly still in their primes and are clearly still dynasty keepers will cost more:
Francisco Lindor, SS, NYM A top 25 player. Prime spot in a strong lineup. Will gladly keep him and Volpe and not blink an eye.
Ty France, 1b/3b, SEA Batting 2nd behind J-Rod and in front of their other strong hitters puts France in a great spot in a young lineup. Only 3b eligible this year most likely. Not a 30-HR guy, but picking up right where he left off early in 2022 before hurting his wrist. The dude is just a stick.
Taylor Ward, OF, LAA There's a pattern to every hitter on this list - they are all hitting in prime spots within strong, run-producing lineups.
What am I looking for? Depends on the player, but in general assets that I can consider in packages could include, roughly in order of preference:
-- High upside / highly ranked prospects -- Injured Major league keeper-level players - let me take the risk but get the upside of a return -- Other keeper-level players - maybe a better mutual position fit -- Depending upon the mixture of above, a 2024 P5 would make a good deal sweetener -- P and S-picks
Not in a hurry per se -- i.e. I feel no need to jettison Abreu and DeGrom on the first offer - I would gladly let them get hot (Abreu) and show health (DeGrom) to let their value increase.
Hit me up!

....and the Commissioner awakens and gets his head out of his ass and starts entering trades.
The Constitution is now up to date. Trades are entered. Prospects have changed hands. I have even updated the Draft Grids on a proforma basis using the Standings as of today, 6/30. Hopefully this gives everyone a nice visual representation of their picks at this point for future trades.
To that end, I found a few issues:
1 -- GO has traded his Supp 3rd twice. Once to me in 2022 and a second time to blue hen on March 14th. GO has the ability to rectify this by:
1) Reworking a trade to the mutual satisfaction of he and blue hen. blue hen is not compelled to do so. 1b) I guess he could rework his trade with me too, leaving his 3rd to fulfill his trade to bh.
2) Acquiring another 3rd from someone else.
3) If neither 1 nor 2 happen, the pick would default to GO's next highest pick.
2 -- GO acquired Lyman's 1st on 3/19 with no return pick to Lyman. This is allowed but is most often something that was overlooked. It can stand as is, but that may not have been their intent.
The following Prospects have exceeded limits and are on their respective team's active rosters. As such, they have lost Prospect eligibility and have been removed:
Esteury Ruiz Spencer Steer
The following Prospects have exceeded limits but are not on their team's active roster. By rule, they may stay on the Prospect List through the end of the season and are still considered protected prospects:
CJ Abrams

I assume you mean a better pick. I made that trade assuming GO would have a terrible team in 2023. So I’d expect 3.GO or better. If he doesn’t acquire a better pick, I’d think it becomes 2.GO.

Rule Changes and a Challenge
I’d like to bring this up publicly.
I’d like to formally request the trade committee get together and review Pete and Thumper’s trade of p picks for s picks. I don’t need names but I’d like it to be asserted that at least one neutral party found this non-objectionable.
I’d like to propose a rule that two managers cannot trade with each other more than once in a month. If you trade on the 5th, the next trade cannot be accepted until the 6th.
I’d like to propose a rule that all trades must be discussed with another manager in G20 to ensure it’s fair or close to it. When challenged, the name must be produced or the trade won’t go through. The discussion can happen after consummation (but shouldn’t), and if there’s a challenge, an impartial managed must agree and give their thoughts or the trade won’t go through.
I’d like to re-propose a rule that the champion only gets to keep 8 players. Repeat champions only keep 7, and so forth. Co-champions are champions.
I’d like to propose a change to the moratorium rule, ending the moratorium the day after opening day.
I’m open to a lower moves cap number, higher minimums, and even tri-weekly waivers/FAAB.
This season has not been as enjoyable as the last two.

I’m not clear why trading frequently is a problem. Our recent trade was for 2024/2025 picks, what is the point in having us wait a month to punch it thru? TTU and I talk often and G20 trades come up. It’s fun.
The latest trade is in line with his rebuild and my win now. I am generally against adding layers of review (coming from someone who participates a lot in the offseason trade committee), but also believe that concerns should be vetted appropriately and thru a right channel as members of the league have posted/agreed to a dislike to the public shaming on trades lately. A trade of yours was vetoed and reworked in the offseason, I know there’s precedent for this.
This is “Dynasty” so I’m against lowering keepers for the winner. We’re all working to build a dynasty and I don’t like the thought that getting 2nd is better than getting 1st.
I’d be for moving the moratorium up to opening day.
I think mins would need to be lowered if we move to tri-weekly adds. I too am open to the idea, but not strongly for or against either

127: Wow — To say reading the first part of that post is disappointing would be a massive understatement, especially coming from.
I didn’t expect to be having to defend in the first year of my return but here we are. Let’s unpack the trades I’ve made with Thump:
2023 S 2.06, 2023 S 3.06 For Jeffrey Springs, 2023 P 1.20
2023 S 1.07 For 2024 P1, 2024 P5
Bryce Elder, JQuijada For 2024 P3
2024 S1, 2024 S13 For Luisangel Acuna, 2024 P4, 2024 S6, 2024 S9
George Kirby For Bo Naylor, 2025 P2, 2025 P4
Giancarlo Stanton Reese Olson For Jake Cronenworth Freddy Peralta
2024 S2, 2024 S3, 2024 S4 For 2025 P1
I left out some of the late pick exchanges, that kept picks even, with the purpose focusing on the value exchanged in each trade. Thump and I have been a good fit because of our timelines (win now vs rebuild). Each deal fits our timelines. Each deal has material value being exchanged from both sides.
Fact is you, BH, want to have your cake (compete now) and eat it too (not have to give up any material future value). That sounds like your problem, not the league’s problem.
Outside of that, I would support anything that eliminates stashing. Daily waivers that run in the morning, unable to claim a player if they have NA or IL next to their name. If Yahoo would allow it, those would be beneficial changes. This year, I’ve been on a mission to disband the notion that you can’t hit mins and have an eye to the future simultaneously. Currently on pace to complete that mission, but do see the current “Wild west” setup as an opportunity for improvement for the league. Ultimately, eliminating the ability to stash will lead to a multitude of positive impacts for the league.

To be clear, I think Pete and Thump are great managers and even better people. I do think that particular trade is unbalanced and would love it someone outside the trade would weigh in. I think the trade committee is the fairest path.
I also think this many trades between two managers is bad for the league, even if not nefarious.

You can ask all the other managers, I personally try to trade with pretty much everyone. I’d only see trading with the same team as potentially a problem if they exclusively tried to trade with each other. I think more activity is a GOOD thing for a league.

To be clear, I don’t have an issue if someone objects. If we all agreed on valuations, that would be boring and quite frankly odd. With that said, I am beginning to understand why it’s difficult to trade here. Many backseat managers are ready to pounce at a moment’s notice. Constructive discussion is important, and keeps the league lively, but I don’t feel the need to be babysat. If the league doesn’t trust me to make the best decisions as I see fit for my team, why am I in the league? For what it’s worth, I have no desire to leave and am thrilled to be back. The question itself is a fair one though all things considered.
And if we’re going to go full transparency here, the proposed committee should also take into consideration the manager raising an objection turned down the following:
2024 S3 2024 S4 2024 S5 2024 S6
For
2024 S1 2024 S12 2024 S13 2024 S14
Very similarly structured type of deal. S Picks have a wide range of interpretation in terms of value and where a manager is at with their respective timeline. I’m confident in saying the trade I made with Thump will bring more value to my team than the trade BH rejected. Also emphasizes a point that this feels like sour grapes. I cannot comprehend how someone could find a trade unfair because they weren’t willing to pay a price their competitor was.
|
|
| 134 | ttucowboy
ID: 31142221 Wed, Jul 05, 2023, 12:34

In addition, I do agree exclusive trading with one team would be bad for the league. Take a look at my trading track record though ever since I rejoined the league. I’ve made trades with BMD, Thump, Tree, WG, Tosh, Lyman, BH, YR, Taxman, Fosten and Matt G. I’ve also had discussions with others not mentioned that, while it didn’t materialize into a trade, were still fun and productive discussions.
All of that to say I take great exception to the notion that is being levied here.

Pete is selling and no one else is buying besides Thumper, Lyman and BH. I’m entertaining deals but I’m not actively pursuing.
I don’t see any of them as vetoable trades. I’d have made the deal Thumper made on the last trade but it’s not that lopsided and for Pete it makes sense. Early bird gets the worm and Thumper obviously beats down on everyone’s doors.

So there are a handful of teams making a push towards the top. And a handful of teams racing towards the bottom.
But a whole bunch of teams middling around. Is there a way to make those teams more interesting in finishing out the season??
Maybe the team that finishes 10th ... gets the 4th pick in each round, rather than the 11th pick.
Just a random thought from a middling team.

@<147> I posted an idea on discord to kind of reward more teams for consistently strong performances even if not 1st for the year. I’d love something like that.
From discord: On limited competitive teams, I’d love to have a “dynasty champion” in addition to the regular season champ. Dynasty champ could be like a rolling 3 year finish. Someone who finished 2nd, 3rd, and 3rd in a 3 year span could be the champ depending on how well the other finishers placed. Some pts system like 1st place gets 20 pts for the year, 2nd 19 pts, etc. this could encourage more teams to compete because atm it feels like “if you’re not first you’re last”

Just had to post this. As you know, OBP is my worst category. Here are my day by day OBPs, starting Aug 18:
.389, .306, .459, .433, .237, .278, .405, .421, .528, .351, .341, .425, .513, .000 (3 players), .432, .485, .512, .469.
Pretty good run, don’t you think?

The following prospects have exceeded limits, are on their respective teams' rosters and have been removed from the prospect list:
Elly de la Cruz Jordan Walker Bobby Miller has 107 innings and will go over next start Tanner Bibee Francisco Alvarez Edouard Joulien (295 ab at this moment) Masataka Yoshida
The following prospects have exceeded limits and are NOT on their teams' respective rosters. As such, unless called up, they MAY REMAIN on the prospect list through the end of the season. At that point, they will be called up, removed from the prospect list and must be kept in their teams' respective 9 keepers (if they want to be kept in the first place). These players are noted in bold in the Constitution:
Shintaro Fujinami Hayden Wesneski Kodai Senga CJ Abrams Nolan Jones Brett Baty

With 10 days to go... 4 teams have reached the GP minimum. 13 teams have reached the IP minimum. Further supporting the reason to vote on these limits separately.

I have zero sympathy for anyone not hitting minimums. It’s not hard to do with some reasonable diligence applied throughout the year. Also worth noting I’m on track to hit minimums and have been stashing with an eye for the future along the way.

CONGRATULATIONS THUMPER on an amazing run to go back-to-back G20 titles -- only the 4th time this has happened in our 20-year history! Our Founder Ref won the first three titles, even with a tie in the founding year it still counts.
I don't even have to explain why he won. Just look atop the best WAR seasons and MVP voting lists and his team will be there. That said, he traded away nearly everything in the cupboard to repeat. Sure having 5 MVP candidates goes a long way, but can he work his magic for a third year in a row? We shall see!
Believe it or not, this was NOT the most dominating win in G20 history. That honor belongs to the 2nd place blue hen, who posted an ungodly 194 points during one of this back-to-back seasons. Serious props to blue hen for making this season AT ALL interesting. His 180 points is undoubtedly the highest point total for a non-winner in league history.
Huge props to Nerfherders who secured his best finish ever with a strong 165 point finish, which in several years would have won this league. He rode the likes of Matt Olson's unbelievable season combined with terrific years from Him, Gunnar, Yelich (via trade)Bellinger, Happ, Bobby Miller, Michael King and Tanner Bibee to this finish.
Guru placed a strong fourth riding Corey Seager's near-MVP year and a seeming band of misfit toys to a strong 150 point finish despite losing ace Shane McClanahan and down-ish years from Springer and JRam. Resurgent efforts from Eflin and Civale helped and a deadly bullpen got him well into the money.
I would have thought fifth place bmd was toast after Tatis' woes, but Semien was a beast, Elly showed amazingly and Tatis still produced huge.
Many teams have put together some nice young talent and are on the upswing. It takes time for it to gel but I can see where they are going. I hope it is an exciting offseason.
I will get to some year-end administrative items as soon as I can.

Vote for Manager of the Year
Starting this year, we’ll vote for a manager of the year, the manager who did the best improving their team, performing or working under adversity. You can vote anyone except the champion or yourself. Please send who you vote for to Species. This we’ll be added to the constitution next to the winners.

The following teams failed to meet our 1375 Games Played threshold:
Species (3) = 1 demerit Jon Dowd (12) = 1 demerit Taxman (47) = 4 demerits DK (115) = 8 demerits
Only Bobo failed to meet our 1200 innings pitched threshold (87) = 6 demerits.
With our 2 demerit waiver, that means that the following demerits will apply:
Taxman - 2 demerits Bobo - 4 demerits DK - 6 demerits
Demerits are applied to the lowest / worst finisher first, resulting in the following base draft grid order:
1. Vampire Weekend 2. Great One 3. Matt G 4. ttucowboy 5. Bobo 6. Species 7. Taxman 8. Jon Dowd 9. Fosten 10.WG 11.Tosh 12.youngroman 13.Tree 14.DonkeyKong 15.(Vacated Team) 16.bmd 17.Guru 18.Nerfherders 19.blue hen 20.Thumper
Demerits are only applied down to lottery teams at pick 14, so in reality only 1 penalty spot could be assessed to DK. Nice.
Bobo's demerits were applied first, and he fell below Taxman. Then Taxman's demerits were applied and he fell his 2 spots but in reality each team lost 1 less spot because of another team's demerits. Happens a lot.
Per our rules, our Draft Lotteries are to happen within 30 days after the end of the season. I will impose upon Guru, as usual, as our steward for the draft lotteries.

I have refreshed both Draft Grids, pre-lottery. They are up to date with one exception, previously noted in Post 122:
GO has traded his Supp 3rd twice.

For Go’s pick, I assume it needs to be higher than his current pick. He shouldn’t be able to trade for 3.20 and call that the same as 3.2.

166: Debate the validity of this precedence if you wish, but the answer to your question is 'no'. Historically any replacement pick in the same round has been allowed.
I guarantee that you have benefited by this admittedly relaxed policy.
Technically you also erred in accepting a trade for a pick that he did not have, so you share in a component of the consequence.

166 / 169: Problem solved. Species and Great One agree to amend the 6-4-2022 trade. Instead of a 2024 3/6 swap, we agree to push the same trade out to 2025.
That makes the bh/GO trade for GO's 3rd now valid.

As noted in Discord, both Bobo and Vampire Weekend have elected to not return to G20. We thank them both for their efforts.
With Lyman gone as well, that leaves us recruiting for 3 new managers. In good news, that means that our new comrades may execute the 'Expansion Draft' option and choose their teams from the entire pool of players. While that dilutes the one monster team that has been vacated, it does allow for an exciting way to put your own stamp on your team right away.
That said, I have abolished the messed up draft pick system -- basically we will let the last person in the draft inherit the draft capital of the team of their choice.
