      Wed, Aug 01, 14:47 		I still can't get over the Fletcher situation. That, coupled, with my whim on Burnett is going to kill my chances of gaining the nec. ground I need to have any chance by mid-spetember. I've made some a couple of bad moves, been out of town and not had conncetivity and every little bit adds up. You try and make up for things by taking a few chances and when one of your "non-chances" fails to lose anything for some unknown reason you really start to question things. If he had been bought enough to not be in -30K gravity, he would either be less gravity or gained. I don't see any way where he could go from -30K all this time and suddenly go to no movement for two straight days. The same thing has happened to other players I've held this year--like Stottlemire. There is so many things you have to plan on in advance and trade conservation is a huge issue. For this to happen with 5 more days of losses that was supposed to occur and no trades to get out of him really stings. I just wish it was failed strategy rather than something I can't explain.

      Wed, Aug 01, 16:15 		Ruben Mateo did a "Fletcher" the day before Fletch, and but he resumed gravity today, after 2 days of zero. Fletcher may start falling again tomorrow.

Given the popularity of Mateo and Fletcher in LRV, I suspect someone was fooling around by creating new teams and buying those players. I don't know how many buys it takes to temporarily escape gravity, but it seems like the most plausible explanation. Because while it is a possibility that Fletcher might have attracted some legitimate buys, I can think of no reason for Mateo to be bought.

Of course, none of that explains the earlier Stottlemyre issues. So alternative explanations are still possible.
