Quote of the day
"By any means necessary … we took care of business." -- Miami Heat forward LeBron James, after a game-7 blowout victory over Indiana, advancing to the NBA Finals vs. San Antonio

Daily blurb
David Stern and the ABC Network were probably doing cartwheels after last night’s NBA game. They avoided the ratings disaster that a Pacers-Spurs final series would no doubt have become. That’s not to say that a Spurs-Heat series is going to be a ratings blockbuster, of course. But it must have more widespread appeal than the alternative would have.

Phillies outfielder Domonic Brown has recently become the hottest hitter on the planet, with 8 homers in his last 8 games. His full season slash line is now at .291/.329/.592/.921. Less than a month ago his OPS was barely over .700. Congrats if you held him through his first 45 days, or if you picked him up as a F/A. I’m sure you won’t find him on any F/A lists now unless your league-mates are comatose.

Meanwhile, highly touted Dodgers prospect Yasiel Puig made his ML debut last night, going 2-4 and ending the game by throwing out a runner at first base from the warning track, completing a double play. ESPN shows that he’s only rostered in 69% of fantasy leagues, so you might want to check out your own league – quickly.
