My company is using Websense (www.websense.com) which is a pretty effective tool to block "improper" usage of the Internet during work. I am afraid that one day, hopefully not too soon, some of my favorite sites (rotoguru, yahoo-roto-games etc) will be blocked, so I was thinking about a solution.
Does anyone know about a web site (let's call it the "basic site") that provides "safe browsing"? It actually requires that this site will have some sort of a java-browser, so once you visit this site, you will start browsing in the "browser-in-browser" so websense will think that you are visiting the "basic site" and will never realize the kind of "junk" that the user is actually doing.

For Yahoo! games you can use the altavista babelfish translator.
http://babelfish.altavista.com/
I would think that most other similar sites (ones without a business purpose) would be blocked by websense.

Trip, this could be a nice last-resort solution for "read-only" info, but i was wondering if there is a "full solution" browsing expereince available. BTW, i tried to access my Yahoo team by translating the page to French, but it requested me to log-on and I am sure that websense would block it.

I had been using this but websense caught on... looking for new ideas!
Also, I have interest in wiping out the histories of what I have looked at there, can anyone suggest all the steps I should take to do so? I am thinking its tracking my activity.

Do a google search on "Anonymous Proxy". First hit was a service called Proxify. But when I tried it (the free portion), It was busy. The 2nd hit was "The Cloak". Seemed to work when I connected to RotoGuru.
BTW - Be sure you use the encrypted connection, otherwise websense will be able to see the keywords.
Of course, websense could have "Anonymous Proxy" and these sites blocked. But it's worth a try.

Just tried to post under "The Cloak". This is when they hit you up for the money. Otherwise seems to work.

I'll try that one out today.
What about deleting out histories of things you've looked at? I did temporary internet files, cookies and history. Any other places?
