I'm having an issue with my router where it's only connecting to my cpu for about 30-90 seconds and then going down. I moved a month ago and have the exact same setup, provider, cords. Everything is the same. But each time I goto try and set it up it isn't keeping the connection up. I know it isn't the modem as i'm using it now, but when I try and get the wired router to work on the two CPU's it just drops in and out.
SO, i'm not thinking of going out and buying another wired router, anyone have any good experiences with them? I'd also like to use the router and hook up my PS2 or future systems to it, which I wasn't able to do with this one, or at least figure it out easy. I have a Newtwork Everywhere Linksys NR041, the cheapie :') |

Punk, I would guess it is the router. If'n it were me, I would just go pick up another router.

Yep that's what i'm thinking, it probably got shaken to death moving or something I guess.
But any good router tips that you've had or used and was easy to setup and maintain? This one has been a pain.

Ditto what Bili said, but what we see with routers is that some will run for ever and others need replaced fairly quick.
Ya just never know.

I use a Belkin wired router and a Belkin wireless hub and I've never looked back. The wired router needs the occassional power cycling, but otherwise I have no complaints.

you might want to check the wires if you just moved they could have gotten crimped and are no longer makeing good connections and are dropping in and out. though it probably is just the router though in general linksys makes pretty good stuff and has pretty good technical support.

Nope it's not the wires, i've had both running from the modem to the PC on seperate times.
