I got a new laptop recently - a Thinkpad, Windows 7 pro, 64-bit.
One puzzling issue is that whenever I reboot it, the plain "Arial" font seems to disappear - or at least, it need to be reinstalled before Windows Office programs will recognize it. Since I have a lot of docs and spreadsheets which also use the Arial font, that creates a significant display problem until I reinstall the font.
It's a simple process to manually reinstall the font every time I boot up, although that seems like a silly solution. I've googled the issue and can see that it is a recurring problem for some, although I did not see any suggested permanent fixes.
Anyone run into this before, and/or have a permanent solution to suggest?
