Hi, was hoping someone can help me with a spreadsheet they want here at work to work out stamp duty. I have no idea how to make it.
Up to $45000 is 3%. Over $45000 is %5. But, just say its $65000, thats 3% of 45000, and then 5% of 20000. Thats the part thats giving me most problems.
Any help would be appreciated.

=IF((cell_1<45000.),cell_1*.03,(45000.*.03+(cell_1-45000.)*.05))
that should serve as a starting point. I was too lazy to try it out.
