Subject: How it works - Price Changes

  Posted by: Promize - [30848116] Mon, Sep 10, 22:24

I seemed to have forgot how the price changing works in football.

1st of, the rosters we have this past weekend, and all the roster moves this will be affected next tuesday?

2nd, the roster freeze on sunday is what is taken in consideration for the price changes? Or say Tuesday morning can you change your team and get rid of anyone you think will fall in price? or go up in price for the third weeks games?

Trying to remember how it works, just can't

Promize, they changed it this year. The roster freezes and price change periods both go from SUN to SUN. So all trades made from roster freeze on one SUN (yesterday) to the roster freeze on the next SUN (6 days from today) will be taken into account for the repricing on this coming SUN (6 days from today).

At least that's what the rules seem to say.

KKB, that's how i understand it too. the first day of each NFL week. i would imagine later in the season some of the roster freezes and price changes will happen on thurs and sat. i guess the old strategy of making tades for quick cash gains and getting our for better match ups is over. now we have to trade for cash and points every week. seems to make the game a little more interesting.

any thoughts on the price formula this year anybody? i'll be willing to bet it will be harder to make a buck this year. it seemed that way in baseball.

TF, it was harder to make money (sort of) in baseball this year because of the obvious advantage of using RanDro. SW found a way to dampen it and it worked. However, most Gurupies are still getting $100-110M rosters now.

I figure the repricing will probably stay the same, but what will change is the "delay" of changes. Last year, you didn't trade out of someone going on a Bye Week until after the TUE repricing because most of the masses would be out of trade and couldn't trade that player until after TUE, thus they still made money on TUE with a Bye Week coming up. This season, repricing should follow closer to what the actual schedule (and performances) is.

Awwh,
Good to know, so from what I read,it will sort of be run twice (of course we won't notice that) but twice meaning the movement for week one, and the the movement for week two?

And this being on Sunday's before game time... or 12 noon eastern.

Thanks for info

No Promize. The movement for week one has no effect at all on the price changes because at that time we all had unlimited trades. It's the trades managers make after the roster freeze sunday (9/09) until the last second before the freeze next sunday (9/16). Hope that makes it clearer.
