Subject: Pennington or Garrard?

I've got Chad Pennington on my fantasy team as a backup to Carson Palmer. Do you think that Garrard would be a better backup than Pennington now that he's been announced as the starter for Jacksonville? Garrard is still available as a free agent in my league and I can't make up my mind.

I would rather have Garrard over Pennington.

But Pennington is starting and Garrard isn't. So I'd rather have Pennington as of today. With the Bengals haveing their bye in week 5, Pennington should still be the starter--but you never know. Leftwich would have to get hurt in the first 3 weeks as their bye is week 4.

Garrard has been declared the starter. Hence the dilemma.

I didn't hear that. Which really pisses me off as I had him ready to draft in G24 and I deleted it and now I have no QB.

Yeah I'd take Gerrard too then. ;)

Sorry Ref, that sucks.
Also makes Garrard in the 3rd round the best pick of that draft.

FBG sent out a breaking news story that he was going to be cut maybe about 30 minutes ago. I would have gotten more excited if that had put Garrard in the top 25 starters, but it doesn't. Same offense. IIRC, Palmer's bye week is fairly early. I think I like Pennington better for bye week fantasy points (without looking at SOS) but Garrard better for season long back-up.

At least Pete's demand for Leftwich was too much! ;) That would have really stunk!

Leftwich will land on his feet. I'm not worried about it. His problem was that he couldn't get along with the HC. The ability is still there.

Leftwich will be a Baltimore Raven soon. Eventually he'll take the reigns over from McNair.

And the 8 fantasy football teams across the world who own Kyle Boller shout in despair, aaaagh!
