I joined the ProLeague at TSN, I've been playing this game since the Smallworld days. I finally put together my roster. It seemed really tough this year, but I think this was because the Week One matchups seem pretty freaking tough.
QB: McNabb $8.00m at GB QB: Kitna $6.00m at OAK
RB: Parker $7.75m at CLE RB: McGahee $6.95m at CIN
WR: Porter $2.75m vs DET WR: Kennison $2.62m at HOU
D: Was 0.70m (cheapest D) vs MIA
I only have 0.23 left over. I could still afford Shaun Alexander against TB, but I'm taking Parker against the lowly Browns.
Any suggestions? Am I missing a WR? I thought they were pretty decent for under 3m. |

At WR you might look at Patrick Crayton who has moved into the starting lineup for Terry Glenn.
Also at wide-out there is Vince Jackson and possibly DJ Hackett.
These cheaper guys might free up some cash to uggrade Kitna and/or McGahee.
Here's my ultimate lineup
Bulger Hasselbeck Alexander Parker Westbrook V Jackson Crayton Hackett Scaife Folk Dallas
It my only team this year down from the usual 3-5 that i've played in past seasons

Thanks TF, you know I already ended up doing just that, I swapped into BOTH Crayton and Hackett then picked up Shaun Alexander. He is slightly more expensive than McGahee, which I think will have a great season in Baltimore.
With the cash I have left over, I upgraded Kitna to Brady at NYJ. I don't really have lots of other options at that price point. Young, Rivers, Hasselbeck, Romo, Cutler, and it continues to dwindle.
Have to see how things shake out after Week One.
Thanks for the look into your roster. Much appreciated.

I'm also thinking
Hasselbeck>Romo Dallas>Pitt
on one team. Pitt may be able to be held for 3-4 weeks.

If I had the money I'd take Pitt. I'm not so hot on Romo. I believe that new QBs, ones without a lot of gametape to study do well for about 5 games. Thats about what Romo had before he fell back to earth. He didn't end the season so hot AND he's missing Terry Glenn.
I'm not saying he sucks... yet, I just think that it takes the NFL about 5 games to adjust to new coaches and players w/o game film to study.
