Subject: waiver advice

A little help here is much appreciated...I'm heading to the playoffs in my keeper league and am approaching our waiver wire season deadline.

I need to use one of my picks at RB. Currently, I have Westbrook, Peterson (vikings not bears) Benson, & Bennett.

Clearly, I'm dropping Bennett, and don't think I'll need the 4th RB, BUT with Peterson hurt, and Westbrook not having the best history of durability, which of the following would you advise I pick up?

1. Buckhalter (Westbrook's clear replacement in the event of an injury)
2. Derek Ward (rehabbing, but when he returns, how much will he get the ball)
3. Michael Pittman (RBBC)

Thanks for any thoughts you can provide....here's to hoping that my 4th RB won't be needed.

I'd go with the guy who would be the clear starter if you needed him to play, and that would be Buckhalter.

Ward, if healthy, would come back to play in a RBBC, and with Eli really maturing, I don't think he'll see as many runs as he would have earlier in the year.

Pittman doesn't see the ball nearly as many times as Buckhalter would if Westie got hurt. Graham has played extremely well, and I don't think Pittman will be a starter this year.

Is the other Adrian Peterson available? Benson may lose his starting job and the lesser AP will be the starter and will see an increase in carries.

I thought about Peterson "the lesser", but he is on an active roster...though the owner who has him is out of contention, so he could drop him...our trade deadline is passed, but I probably wouldn't see this as a tradeworthy move.
