I remember watching him with his 3 compatriots on that LA Rams D back in the late 60s.

Great football player and not too shabby as an actor and commentator.
I just read that he brought a lawsuit against NBC and 20th Century Fox in January for exposing him to asbestos.

Just a really good all-around guy. Had a hand in a lot of different aspirations in his life that affected many in a positive way. Great football player; pretty decent actor in his Father Murphy days; good commentator; worked with numerous charities including the Childrens Miracle Network broadcasting that he did with Mary Hart among others. Thanks for the memories. RIP!
