I am in a 12 team, 1 pt ppr league, where we can keep up to 2 players in exchange for two rounds ahead of the round they were drafted in last year. Players drafted in the first 3 rounds can't be kept. I am drafting with the 5th pick in a snake draft. I am keeping Jimmy Graham in exchange for a 4th round pick.
My options for my 2nd keeper are: 1. Matthew Stafford for a 3rd round pick 2. Vincent Jackson for a 7th round pick 3. Donald Brown for a 10th round pick 4. Mikel LeShoure for a 10th round pick
We start 1qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, and 1te. It is 6 points per passing td. FYI, here are some notable players that other owners in my league are keeping: QB: Newton, Vick, P. Manning RB: McFadden, Murray, R. Bush, Helu WR: AJ Green, D. Bryant, Stevie Johnson, Cruz, Decker
In the first round, I will probably draft at the 5th pick of the first round, whoever falls to me between Calvin Johnson and Chris Johnson. Who should be my second keeper?
My concern is if I keep Stafford as a 3rd round pick, that leaves me drafting my 2nd WR and 2nd RB in rounds 5 and 6 (Assuming I draft a RB and WR in rounds 1 and 2 with the #5 pick). In a league that starts 2 rbs and 3 wr's, I am just worried that would leave me weak at those positions. My concern with keeping Vincent Jackson as a 7th round pick is that he may not even perform as a #3 WR now that he is in TB. What do you think? |

I think you definitely keep Stafford, especially since its 6 pts/td... Stafford could throw 40 again. Brown and Leshoure are big risks... both could do nothing. VJax at 7 not a bad choice as he'd most likely go earlier, like round 5. But he carries his own risk... running offense and relying on Freeman to rebound. I definitely play it safe and keep Stafford. WR is deep this year so I wouldn't worry too much... plus you have Graham to make up for a lesser WR corps.
