Subject: Dynasty QBs

Alright...so there are lots of young QBs out there, and for those of us that play in 2 QB leagues, hitting on a good one is gold. Of the guys that are most likely able to be drafted, how would you rank the following in terms of a dynasty keeper:

Bridgewater
Winston
Bortles
Bradford
Kaepernick
Taylor
Carr
Mariota
Manziel

My order is as listed.

And don't feel as though you have to rank them all, pick out your top 3, your bust picks, etc.

Bridgewater and Bradford have the most upside, Mariota will be better than that, Kapernick has peaked and Manziel was done before they drafted him. Taylor will be a back up at best, the other 3 will depend on how beat up they get in the next year or 2.I'd probably say Carr Winston and Bortles:
Bridgewater
Bradford
Mariota
Carr
Winston
Bortles
Kapernick
Taylor
Manziel

You also have to account for injuries, who they're throwing to, etc... personally I'd go:

Bridgewater
Winston
Carr
Mariota
Kapernick
Bradford
Bortles
Taylor
Manziel

Bradford - I'm all in. Thinking MVP level season.
Carr - sneaky good rookie year and efficient in the red zone. Cooper and a year of experience should only help.
Mariota - accurate and more upside vs the rest.
Kaepernick - we've seen his game. You have an idea what you're getting with him which is why I ranked him below Mariota.
Bridgewater - not a fan. Inaccurate on throws beyond 5 yards.
Winston - lovie is the coach. 'Nuff said
Taylor - already on his third team
Bortles - was higher on him until I read he is the worst QB in the NFL with no pressures. Scary.
johnny football - yuck

Now that F101 is done draft I can share my thoughts since 2 of these guys were targets of mine to eventually replace Peyton.

Bridgewater- I really like the athleticism. I see some Culpepper in his game and he'll have some great targets with Johnson, Wallace and Patterson.
Carr- Surprisingly Oakland appears to be trending upward. Carr is quietly a top 15 QB right now and could be top 10 after this season.
Bortles- I kind of like Bortles. I think he'll take a big step forward this season with Orange Julius and Yeldon. Jacksonville might win 6 games this year.
Kaepernick- I want to see what he does without Harbaugh, but right now he's fading fast.
Bradford- Play 16 games and we'll talk.
Mariota- I don't know what to expect from him. He seems like a system QB and that system is in Philly.
Winston- When he's in a system that likes QBs he'll move above Kaep, but as long as Lovie is there, Kyle Orton is his ceiling.
Taylor- He can't be good right?
Manziel- I agree with Slizz. Yuck indeed.

If Mariota went to the Bucs and Winston to the titans, the rankings would be flip flopped. Lovie smith has now gone through 8 coordinators his entire career. Only once has that offense been in the top 20. He could mess up a grilled cheese sandwich. (I'm a Bears fan who wholeheartedly supported his dismissal - excellent defensive coordinator like rex ryan but not a HC).

Bradford - Chip Kelly made Mark Sanchez and Nick Foles top 5 fantasy qb's. What can he do to a QB with elite talent? I look at it as a buy low opportunity! The rest of the QB's, except for Carr (10-15), have a ceiling of top half. Bradford has a top 3-5 if he can stay healthy.

Health think that was one of the reasons I ranked Bradford lower....can he stay healthy, and would you put your faith in that happening? That risk made me push him down my list.

ROI - Return on Investment. Those late bargains are what win you a league. Sure he could get injured, but if he doesn't you look like a genius...

It's like going for an eagle on a par 5 versus laying up and hoping to get on for a birdie putt. I go for it every time.

Bradford you might even get a double eagle with...

Carr you're likely looking at a birdie. Doubt you'll get the eagle but he's a safe bet.

Mariota likely par but possible eagle

Kaepernick is like shooting for par

Bortles is anywhere from a birdie to a bogey. Just don't know till they play the games.

Taylor the same...

Winston definite bogey with Lovie.

Manziel is picking up the ball hahaha

So I went with Bortles and Carr, and now have an offer of Tannehill for Bortles. Is Bortles worse than his numbers show?
