Hey, but enough about me, lets talk about LT and LJ. I really was pi$$ed about a month ago when I realized I did not get LT in any of my 7 (I think) teams. Not feeling to bad anymore. Usually I am a jealous b!tch and look forward to players I dont have doing bad, but, I actually like to see LT do good, guess its his modest nature or something. The season is still young, but he isnt looking like he did last year.
Curtis stats looked good, and I had a huge smile thinking I had him on one of my survivor teams, but it seems I dont, but still, like to see an eagle do good. Westbrook injured? Anyone know how bad?
Kitna had another huge game, I expected that against a banged up Eagles D with 3 out of four of the secondary banged up. I think Ednecks has him too.
Addai had another big game and I expect him to be a top 2 fantasy pick next year. I thought he would be this year but didnt want to gamble my three pick away with him. Right now Alexander has -3 rushing yards...
Ok before I get into Moss and everyone passing on him at least two, maybe three times Im just going to stop writing to myself

Just when you panic and think a guy was a horrible pick you get: McNabb 40+, Ron Brown 40+, Jordan is having a good season.
I stated in a earlier post that people thinking Steven Jackson and LJ being sure things could back fire...just didn't think LT would be the worst of the lot..crazy!!
Joe you and Shak in trouble in a league? I think you might be..What was that horn blowing? That's the boat picking you boys up off the rock!

I think shak is safe, looking at the scores, mario is losing 15 points because of two QB's and will have a mid 40 score. I think I Have a chance to live in the other league, but that all depends on the top rated Bears O! But thanks for caring about me ednecks! I know you will miss me when YOU are gone!

just a reminder, cause I know this has happened in the past...negative points for a QB sticks or is it a zero. I remember there was arguing about this in the past, and I dont remember what the outcome was? I know I should have taken losman as a backup LOL!

Go to fleaflicker, click on one of our leagues and then click on the scoreboard. You have to go into each team to subtract the three lowest scores (or 2nd QB/Kicker for some teams), but a quick glance gives a general idea of who is at top and who is in danger.

I seem to remember that we said we would not use negative points. An owner that does not have a starting QB should not come out better than someone whose QB sucked eggs. Anyone remember differently? I think if Joe gets the negative two, he still is ahead of BSB by a point with Brandon Jones to go. I guess this could really be an issue if Jones fumbles away a ball or two.

I think that's right, last year they scored a zero at worst. Makes sense that if someone doesn't have a QB they get a better score then Joes lousy team, just when your dreams come true fate takes it away before you can celebrate.

Shak it was a great game in the LMSCL..136-131, I got a little lucky with Browns 40+...We have pretty similair teams, since I've been in the final 2 years in a row, that should mean your pretty good or I'm just lucky. Boldin is taking over in ARZ, he looks like a beast..better then Fitzgerald anyhow. I guess I'll have to relie on P. Manning, Wayne, Owens and Chad Johnson to get my wins..after that I'm pretty weak...

Oh well, this league is a crapshoot anyway. And it figures the week after I get knocked out in IM, Tony Hunt scores. Now that I am done in BW, Brian Leonard is starting over Steven Jackson next week.
May the luckiest one survive.

Sour Grapes!! Yeah you need luck in a league where you can't have a bad week and survive. That's just the name of the game I'm afraid. Tough on the ego I know, no I really don't know this early..must be some skill in volved, seems like the same names every year doing well?

Ed, nice win in LMS. You were very close to losing. When I saw that Cotchery was questionable, I benched him and contemplated whether to start K Curtis or S McDonald. It was a coin flip and I guessed wrong. Hopefully, Curtis will start posting consistent numbers from.

Sucks that I am losing S Jackson next week (BW), but luckily I have immunity next week. I need him for week 5, as my only QB, McNabb, has a bye. If he doesn't play, then it will be a dog fight with RBP, who has his first two picks, Palmer and AP, on week 5 byes. He will probably also be without a QB, unless Leftwich is playing in ATL or Matt Jones is emergency QB in Jax again.

I agree with BSB. You need some luck in this format.
Shak with 188 points - 159 counting for the score, is a great week. What was the high score from last year?
Why are teams joining and leaving?

Luck is always a factor were you have possible injuries waiting to happen, I'll agree it's a crapshoot, but I still think you lessen your chances of going early by drafting better then TT and BSB did..was it just plain bad luck they lost in both leagues, was it their position in the draft, was it because the quality of the players in this league? My personel opinion is if you have a bad draft it's impossible even in a normal league to drastically improve without some serious help/luck. So in this format the draft was everything..IMO you make your own luck and drafting the right players is the key, I drafted Glenn and he was a bad choice soley because he lives on the injury list every year, thats the difference in winning and losing in this format...Okay and a little luck too!!

Shak, I saw Curtis on your bench and I think he stunk against the Skins, so McDonald was the right choice, just goes to show as Berman likes to say "Thats why they play the game" you just never know what will happen. I played Curry over Fitzgerald because I thought he would struggle against Baltimore and Boldin is a more physical player he copes better against tougher teams. Some schools of thought say you play your best players no matter who they're playing. I would agree, but sometimes the matchups just don't look good and if I get a WR going against Champ Bailey, 9 out of 10 times he shuts that guy down...Choices..I almost sat Ronnie Brown in favor of Tatum Bell..If you have a deep bench then you have Choices, sometimes I just wish I didn't have choices, scary to roll the dice sometimes.

I dont feel as bad passing up on mcallister now, how about you Ednecks? heheh, seriously though karma will come a knocking so I guess I was joking about the hehehe thing. I was scrolling down the list of players on fleaflicker, mostly RB's and saw the % owned of the players, its funny to see Steven jackson 99& owned and Gore 97% and james 96& owned. I wish I was in those leagues. Must be kicker friendly leagues or something? I guess it show the extent of what some people know about this game. I had a buddy from the army, he is playing for the first time and he had all his flex players as WR's. WHich is normal in a deep league (yahoo) I guess. But I asked him what RB's are available and he says Westbrook! What type of league still has Westbrook as a FA in week 3? I guess the owner dropped him for Trent Green or something. He says that there are only 10 teams too! I tried to explain to him that RB's win this thing and to pick him up ASAP, he didnt listen. Im getting in that league next year.

TB, the reason you see teams dropping and leaving on the Flea site is because I needed to clean up the team names, so we can tell which teams are dead. The owners that I dropped have not been checking in and have changed the password. Therefore, I've dropped them and assumed control of their team long enough to change their team name, then dropping out. If those owners want back in, all they have to do is ask.

This week starts bye week hell and to make matters worse, the injuries are starting to pile up. First and foremost, there's the injury to SJ. Also add to the list Deuce, Westbrook, Chester, Andre Johnson, LJ Smith, and Calvin Johnson. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone. For QBs, you have question marks with Losman, Leinart, Culpepper, Leftwich, Bulger, and McNair. Should make for some ugly scores.

The only way I can look at Deuce's injury is he hasn't done nothing for me so far and I've been fine. Could have used him on the Bye weeks..Injuries will make and break a few teams. I'll be fine with Kitna, Gore, Brown, Holt, Watson, Welker, Gonzalez..MY IM team can't take anymore injuries, I'm one player from disaster in that league, I lose EJ and it's all over.
Injuries the death of many a Survivor teams, and Joe no reason to rub it it Bud..would I give someone a hard time for leaving early.of course not!!

Ed, I feel the same way about SJ. He hasn't helped me at all to this point and now I need him and he isn't available. Good thing I traded up for him. This is the week I go out in IMD. My QBs are Leinart/Losman, SJ is out, Fragile Freddy and my kicker are on a bye, Rhodes still suspended. That leaves me with Gates, Witten, Cotchery, and Sammy Morris. Took a shot with Rhodes and its gonna bite me. This plan is unraveling quickly.
