We need to start the process of (unfortunately) replacing our friend GoatLocker in our fantasy WWE league, the prestigious RotoGuru Wrestling Federation.
The RWF is a self-created, self-run fantasy league using a creative scoring system uniquely designed to reward those wrestlers who are most active in the WWE storylines. We do two seasons per 12 months, with the current season ending with the Granddaddy of them all, WrestleMania.
The league is a keeper league and the rules/constitution are here. Each year you lose your top scorer back to the draft pool (which keeps things interesting so you can draft a top star each year) while you keep 4 others. We self-govern by majority and outside of a few spats generally get along pretty well.
GoatLocker has a solid squad that is currently in fourth but is 200 points from the lead:
Bobby Lashley (ECW Champion) Jeff Hardy (InterContinental Champion) The Great Khali (expected to have a huge push on RAW) Charlie Haas (reunited with Benjamin to for "The World's Greatest Tag Team") Kevin Thorn (ECW) Elijah Burke (ECW) Lance Cade (former Tag Champ, staple jobber on RAW) Daniel Rodimer (big 300 pounder rumored to be called up soon)
The league is a lot of fun! Tell your friends! But seriously, those interested should post here with an email account and you will be contacted.
Thanks! |

......and current RWF members could also do some recruiting as well. At least the last one worked out a little ;-)

Tree, anyone on the ROH boards that would be a good fit?

Thank you Species for the comment...
I think i might know someone, but I need to double check with them and make sure they are willing to give the proper attention that is needed.

i've asked a friend as well from the ROH Boards who i think is not only extremely reliable, but an out and out stats nut who would actually probably LOVE to help out in some scoring and stuff once he gets into the groove.

I am the guy from the ROH boards that Tree mentioned and I would be very happy to join this league, pending everyone's appproval.
I'll look for an e-mail from Tree or just check back here.

i honestly couldn't vouch enough for Bobo. a straight up good guy, a pretty serious wrestling fan (he and i have traveled many a wrestling road trip together over the past few years), and someone who i feel could be an asset to this league.
not to mention that he recently peer pressured me into buying a set of action figures that contained all three original members of the Freebirds, and if that doesn't scream "wrestling fan", i don't know what does.

I used to be a big action figure guy. So that's cool. And Bobo seems like a face, which is sorely needed in this league of heels.

yea, he was GO. IIRC, he was the regular season champ, then got bumped off in the playoffs to the eventual league champion, and THEN lost to you in the consolation game.
he's also in the ROH fantasy hoops league which i don't commish, but i rule with an iron fist anyway, because i'm that kind of guy.

Hey all. Just ducked in to check things out. FreeBird Action Figures - Now I'm jealous.
As if my Bailin Ass comments should carry any weight, looks like a good add to me.
And I'd feel comfortable having him work with my Gutter Huggers.
Take care all. I'll still stick my head in when I can.

lol -- action figures. I love it.
Sounds like just the kind of idiot for this league! He passes inspection if you ask me! ;-)

Cliff is still in title contention which is unprecedented for someone leaving... So if he wins the championship - would the champion be The Bobo Goats or what? He could still be co-champion it seems.

I'd list Goat as the winner outright with some italics for Bobo.
(I miss watching Raw. I honestly have no idea what is going on. Hopefully when my girl moves here by June and we have our own place I can schedule Monday night's for wrestling and not be doing work.)

Tom is definitely the perfect idiot for this league. oh, the stories we could tell.
he was one of the few witnesses to Jack Evans attacking me in a hotel room and delivering two brutal kicks to my head because i put toothpaste on his hands while he slept at 5 am.
that'll learn me.

You wuss Tree. Why didn't you just block the kick and reverse it into your own enziguri (sp)? Sounds like you need to hand me your own personal 'book'! LOL

i actually was bracing for a splash. little did i know that my head was but a golf ball on a tee.
i will say i learned my lesson however, and a few months ago when ring announcer Bobby Cruise tried to leap on me across a hotel room, i caught him and used his own momentum to continue his flight right over me, where he went head first into the wall.

This works out good because the guy I had been talking to about the league decided he couldn't put in the appropriate time needed. So sounds like Bobo is in the lead.

Hate to see GoatLocker leaving. He's been very good for this league and will seriously be missed.
Having said that, based upon a recommendation of Tree, it sounds like Mr. Bobo warrants a chance to join our league of unextraordinary gentleman. If this is being put up for a vote, I vote YEA.

Bobo, Here is the current roster and who is Starting and Benched. If it is not changed, then it would stay the way it is.
Starting Lashley Jeff Hardy Charlie Haas Elijah Burke The Great Khali Kevin Thorn
Bench Daniel Rodimer Lance Cade
If you don't get an answer shortly and would like to change something, you can email me and I'll change it.

Welcome aboard Tom - i look forward to kicking your ass in future seasons of this league, like i did in baseball and like i'm doing in hoops.
and more importantly, welcome to the Rotoguru community. start playing around on these boards in your spare time, and you'll find a lot of good people to play fantasy sports with.

Welcome, Bobo. Feel free to voice your comments and suggestions - it's very much an open forum.
Pardon my ignorance, but am I to assume Harry Smith was a big ROH guy by this immediate trade? Nice to see GO go immediately to the weak spot!

thanks to Tree and Species...and Harry Smith was never in ROH.
I just think his potential over the long-term versus that of Rodimer is higher.
..Not to mention, he was sooo dreamy when he was on 'Hogan Knows Best'

And yeah Rodimer could be good, especially short-term if he debuts and picks up some easy squashes like "Marcus Cor Von" is doing now (which is what I need) but certainly Harry Smith's pedigree gives him much more long term potential.
Plus they just signed Nattie Niedhart, right?

Yeah...WWE just signed Nattie and depending on how things go with WSX on MTV, everyone's favorite "bad boy" Teddy Hart might be soon to follow to WWE.
Can you say Hart Foundation 2K7?
