Is that really wiggs? And did blue hen get screwed again? Does he still have a partial ownership in Benjamin? Is Hen really young gunz?

So many questions. So little time.

definitely a dramatic difference in numbers...

i didn't watch...why so many points for rey and shelton?

i feel like there was a gauntlet match - if so, then the scoring should be the same way we scored the gauntlet match at WM, no?

I really scored it. I scored it, with a 2nd opinion from tree the same same the gauntlet match for cruiser weight title was scored at mania or any other match that we have had like that. We have had a couple things like this in the past and they were all scored as 1 match with 1 winner and a bunch of loser. It doesnt matter to me if you want to change it, but then we should probably change WM scores too.

Mith, not sure where the extra 2 for bradshaw and farooq came in? I have it on tape and the only appearances I have for them, unless i missed something was before the match (2) then the match (12) and then the after match thing when they said that farooq was the only one fired (2) did I miss something?

scotty and rikishi 25 for the win and 10 for the title defense 35 total.

and the last match our numbers are off because i gave them all main event points because it was technically all 1 match.

finally No young gunz is not BH.

If we are calling it one match then I guess that is fine, but a bell rang at the beginning of each match and a winner was declared and a hand was raised at the end of each match. I don't ever remember such a thing being scored as only one match. The closest thing I can think of is Brock having to win two matches to get into the Rumble. He was give points for both, and for the Rumble. But I'm fine with whatever the group decides is best.
==================================

Re Farooq and Bradshaw, according to PWScoops they were with Heyman before the match when he told them that they were in the match.

Then they had the match with Rikish and Scotty.

Then they burst into Heyman's office and Heyman told them that only Farooq was fired. Bradshaw stayed in the room and Farooq siad "I'll be damned" and left.

Then was the vignette with Hass, Rey, Benjamin, Dawn Marie, Heyman and Gunn.

Then was the Haas/Benjamin match.

Then another backstage vignette with APA where Farooq is leaving and Bradshaw tells him that he's got all this stuff going on and he can't just walk away from this because Faarooq said something stupid.
=======================================

Re Rikishi and Scotty, tag belt defense is only +5.

Later in the show Bradshaw follows Faaroq outside to explain why he needs to stay, a few segments AFTER Heyman tells Faaroq he is gone.

I kind of got the feel that they were individual matches too. More like a tourney then anything.

The tage team titles arent considered world title? I guess i was un aware of that. I think we should reconsider that. They are a major belt in the federation. Only belts I would consider not a world title would be the hardcore title and maybe the cruiserweight. I guess that is something we need to consider changing in the future.

I guess i missed the last part of the farooq bradshaw thing. I dont know if I fastforwarded through it, or it wasnt on. That is cool to make that change.

As far as the other thing with the gauntlet, I would say that is the exact same thing as the cruiser weight match at mania. I really dont care either way, as it doesnt make much difference to me. Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in.

I don't believe the Cruiserweight match at WM was called a gauntlet, it was the Cruiserweight Open. I don't believe it was considered to be a series of matches. I'm not sure if a new bell was rang as each new wrester entered the ring and I don't remember any wrestlers' hands being raised until Chavo's at the end.

MITH - regardless of what it was called, the cruiserweight match was a gauntlet match. it was always one vs. one, with the winner taking on the next entrant.

I dont believe a gauntlet match is like the cruiserweight match. A guantlet match is when one person specifically has to wrestler a bunch of others. The cruiserweights changed up. It wasn't Chavo facing everyone.

as i understand it, that was no different than the Smackdown match, which saw two guys go, and the winner continue to advance...

so either they're both gauntlet, or they're neither gauntlet, as they both had the same format, no?

anyway, obviously i can't do the final tallies until we get this settled....but i've got all weekend - gotta buy a tuxedo -

(anyone in NYC who knows a CHEAP place to buy one, tell me now! please! :o)

- but other than that, i'm not going to be out a lot this weekend.

also, i'm starting a check in thread, to make sure everyone is REALLY still around, before our draft this week...

If a gauntlet match is where one person specifically has to wrestle a bunch of others, then this wasn't a gauntlet match either. A match begins when the bell rings and ends when someone taps, is pinned, counted out, DQ'd or if there is a no contest declared. I've never seen a match where they stopped it in the middle for a backstage vignette, then started it again, then stoppd it for an in-ring vignette and then started it again.

Id have to look at WM again, but if the bell rang with each new entrant and a hand was raised after each fall, then I believe it should be counted as multiple matches and not just one.

i think the term "gauntlet" has been used interchangeably throughout wrestling history for two different types of matches, both of which we've all described here:

1. one wrestlers faces a series of wrestlers on his way to a certain goal, moving onto the next wrestler if he/she wins. or, the match ends when he/she loses.

2. two wrestlers start, with the winner advancing to take on another wrestler, with that winner advancing, and so on and so on.

either way, i suppose it's a tough call in our situation.

in regards to MITH's but if the bell rang with each new entrant and a hand was raised after each fall, then I believe it should be counted as multiple matches and not just one -

i can't for sure that a hand was specifically raised or a bell was rung, but for sure it was one man at a time, so when one guy lost, the next guy came in.

i suppose this is a situation we've not really had before, and the timing of it sucks for us because it was the last week of the season, and we've got business to attend to! LOL

Tree, I say just score it the way MITH has it. That way you can post the standings. I dont really think it will make much of a difference as the only guys this really benefits is Rey and Benjamin. Benjamin will be a FA reguardless and Rey will be a keeper reguardless. No need to make it to big of a deal.

Didn't watch all of it, but that is my read.
Just score it the way MITH did and move on.
That way we can be ready to draft after Raw.
