Rene Dupre as the number one pick??!? why not Randy Orton or Batista or something!?!?

well it wasn't really a pick. it was more pure luck. besides, the longer they wait to move Evolution the more of a cliff hanger they have for ratings.

As a side note I am obviously not scoring the show tonight but I will post the picks at 11. But those could change by midnight knowing the WWE.

Great booking. Dupre' gets picked, then loses a match, then gets a stunner. The old "who cares that he's changing shows" comes to mind.......

Did Orton really have a tonsilechtomy (I know I spelled that wrong)?

And you know RVD and Booker will dump those belts so they can split them up.

Once the drawing is completed, Heyman and Bischoff will have until "midnight tonight" to work out any trades or deals. All members of the roster, including champions, are included in the draft lottery.

this was from 1wrestling.com. man, that worries me.

Wiggs- I thought the Orton deal could never be topped. But securing Benoit which allowed you to keep Orton in return for Goldberg (leaving) and Flair (who we know won't last much longer) was pure brilliance. You make Jerry West look like he is sitting on his hands.

I was just thinking: Steph taking over Smackdown could be huge. I had forgotten she and HHH were "apart" in the script. So if she takes over we could see her and HHH do battle in a similar fashion to Vince vs. Austin (except without the matches). Could make for some decent stuff.

i gotta say that the end of Raw was one of the more exciting moments (aside from Eddy and Benoit winning the straps), i've seen in the WWE in a long time.

with them adding 2 to 4 more PPVs this year, perhaps they will have some serious raw vs. smackdown battles, and maybe even something like a WarGames...

STATEMENT FROM MR. MCMAHON
Earlier tonight, Paul Heyman - the former General Manager of SmackDown! - was drafted by RAW and subsequently quit. Therefore, due to the absence of a GM on SmackDown!, I have extended the trading deadline to 9 p.m. ET Tuesday, at which time a new GM of SmackDown! will be announced, and that new GM of SmackDown! will in fact announce all trades.
Thank you.

My keepers have already been sent to Wiggs and will not change. If Wiggs sees this before he leaves this morning, perhaps he can foward me the keepers and everyone who hasn't sent them in yet can send them to me instead of him and I will make and post two lists of available wrestlers, one sorted by total scores, one sorted by total points over the last 6 weeks.

from above posts it looks like the last ones were Species and Mike D who were sending them on in... so its just a matter of Wiggs finding time to pull things together with his surgery smack in the middle...

I was out of it the day I had mine pulled, so I don't expect to see the info anytime early today at least. Maybe tonight. Which is fine, we can knock out 4 rounds in a few days. Especially everyone ready to go and attentive.

when you post the draft pool - start a new thread - with the pool on top and then it will be for PICKS ONLY - no banter - as we can make it the formal draft thread.

I don't know if you want to do that. The pool will be some 132 lines. I'm a littel busy at work now but I'm finding some discrepencies in the totals. Doesn't look like any important names, but numbers arent matching up for some people, like Gail Kim and Chuck Palumbo.

He found a torn miniscus and repaired it.
Also cleaned up some arthritic build-up.
Hopes she will come out of it okay and with no pain.
Thinks he might need to do a knee replacement in a year or two.

They couldn't get her temperature up in the recovery room, and that is why we were so late getting home.
She is down taking a nap now.

ya know MITH...you suck... :o)

i had Shelton targetted from the onset. i think he's gonna end up being a top 3 scorer this season, and i figured if it got past you, i was home free - and no disrespect to anyone else here, but you were the only one i was worried about that might draft him.

so let me say again..you suck...:o)

Tree

I don't think I'm as confident in a big Shelton push as you are, but I sure hope you're right. I took him because I think he has a better chance at getting that push than anyone else left on the board, but I can't think those chances are too great. I think he'll more likely finish about 12th - 18th, but the way I figure, with my keepers and draft position, going for the wrestler that I think is the safest bet for solid, steady points almost guarantees that this will be another mediocre season for The Flying Jalapenos that will result in a similar position in next year's draft. So its the high risk, high potential reward approach.

GO----depending on the next pick by wiggs, I'll trade for your next pick and throw in rising start Orlando Jordan along with my pick at 15. I guess I'd need a lower pick from you or a wrestler to balance it, but that's no biggee.

Lots of options. Something strange like Storm, Jazz and my 3rd rounder, for Booker, your 3rd rounder, and a wrestler. Except your keepers are solid though. So maybe the same deal as above but instead of a wrestler from you, your 4th round pick, the last one of the draft. Just brainstorming........

I too like the Shelton Benjamin pick. I guess I shouldn't be surprised he went so early.

UT's dead man return *has* to be a push that goes on for a while. He had such a buildup into WM, and the response on the Smackdown after WM was huge. At least I hope.

What made me cringe was MITH getting screwed out of his favorite wrestler (Jericho) a pick before his......

If football doesn't work out, he'll have little choice. He's got 5 years left on his WWE contract, so you can bet anything Vince won't let him work with any other wrestling outfits without a HUGE buyout, and I don't know if there are any out there that are big enough to satisfy that.

maybe, who knows...

I am gambling I guess - but if he does come back in the next say 6 months or so - then I will be working with 3 legit number 1 picks in Cena, Edge and Brock - and obviously can keep two to start the next season... so for me it made more sense then taking some mid-carder here. I can do that with my next pick. Also makes more sense for me because it was my second pick - whereas you were still working on your first - where you need to go with someone active.

Wiggs, nothing has come back to me saying the email was undeliverable, and I sent it to the same address that I have from when I sent my keepers.

Sorry if I kept anyone waiting.

I took Lita because I just think with the addition of Nidia to the RAW roster, Lita will continue to see storylines and matches consistantly, and that is what I'm looking for. With most of the big name talent already gone, I figured I might as well get someone who consistantly is on TV.

Plus now I have whom I consider to be the 2 hottest W.O.W....Keibler and Lita.

If he already has the title, the best thing he can do is defend them and get those points- he can't win the title...unless they drop them and win them again...my lord...that would suck.

I figure that Victoria has to drop the Women's strap sooner than later. Even if she doesn't drop it to Lita, I believe this whole Trish Stratus heel thing will lead to a match or 2 with Lita...considering she was the 4th person involved in the Christian/Y2J/Trish thing.

Thanks wiggs, hoping. Especially with Lesnar gone, AND with Goldberg winning at Wrestlemania. AND his (new) friendship with Austin.

I had my pick narrowed to Basham or Goldberg.

GO- wanna make a long term trade? I will trade you my #1 for yours for Season 4. Basically we are betting on which of our teams will have the better season. If you think its yours then the trade is perfect.

And yeah, repicking guys is boring but if they are the best on the board what can you do.

I don't have a clue... I did't think that all out.

Maybe something with Lance... but let the draft play out and then we can work something out. I don't really want Orlando back and I can't acquire someone who isn't gonna score - cause my bench is gonna be filled with the waiting of injured All-Stars Brock and Gail Kim.

I really wanted to use him to get someone in the tag team picture, la resistance, bashams etc OR a female in the womens title picture... maybe someone will want Rhyno and a swap of last round picks or something. I don't know...

I am just tired of holding him on the one hand - but on the other - it seems like he is getting an opportunity lately so maybe I should hang in... I've waited this long. :)

we can all change our team names, and if you don't see the difference between Keyshawn and Galloway, you don't know football...it starts with the phrase "not afraid to go in the middle"

He didn't say there weren't differences between them......we all know Keyshawn has the bigger mouth. He said "Keyshawn won't help" which is another issue.

Will Keyshawn mean more wins? Maybe. Maybe not. Still need a Qb, Rb, etc..

Hurt his shoulder more than 6 weeks ago when Benoit put him in the crossface. Understandably, big Mark just doesn't have the flexibility in the joint to endure that move. I bet the crossface, as Benoit applies it, doesn't even hurt a guy who is young and flexible and not so muscular, like someone built like Randy Orton.

This from TPWW:

WWE.com has announced that Mark Henry will undergo shoulder surgery tomorrow with Dr. James Andrews due to an injury that he has sustained.

The official website is reporting that the injury occurred during his match with Chris Benoit on RAW for storyline purposes. However, the match and the Crossface finish were designed as a reason to give Henry time off from a pre-existing injury.

Nevertheless, the surgery is scheduled for tomorrow and Mark Henry is expected to be out several months.

Several months could be our entire season.
That is why I stayed away.
This was dated 4 Feb 04.

Henry's a great last round pick if you aren't dependant on using him. Its been shown time and again that he gets pushed far beyond what he deserves, so even if you're just holding him for Season 4, he should provide some nice returns for you at some point.

I have to say I didnt like the cowboys getting Keyshawn. I would have much rather seen them go after someone like travis henry or corey dillon. Also instead of shooting for drew Henson I would have liked to have seen them trade up for eli Manning or phillip rivers or someone like that. I guess there is nothing we can do about it, but thats what I would have liked.

Despite all other rumors and theories, the major reason Ron Simmons was fired was due to what was originally reported, WWE asked Simmons to enter rehab for his alcohol problem, and he declined
