Sad for Smackdown, but I think more people are interested in tommorow's RAW than tonight's PPV.
I hope Benoit shows up.
My final 4 in the battle Royal are Kane, Triple H, Christian, and Jericho.
I think Jericho and Christian will end up eliminating each other, and HBK will somehow help eliminate HHH, leaving Kane the winner.
I really hope this somehow involves Lita, as I would love a build up to a PPV Main Event using 2 of my wrestlers.
First person eliminated- sadly, I believe it will be the Hurricane. |

after the Benjamin/Orton fight in the ring they went to commercial. I ran to get ice cream. I came back to see the backstage vignette of Evolution.
I checked rajah's live recap and it says something about them showing an old Batista match, possibly because they were having technical difficulties. Did anybody see it who can tell me how to score it?

OMG, I lost it twice:
When he said "It doesn't matter what you think" and when he said his favorite wrestler is Triple H.
Easily 2 of the funnier moments in recent Raw history. And a great job by Rock to help this guy get over even more than he already was.

i mean, the people LOVE Eugene. he's already gotten more of a push then anyone brought up to the roster in quite some time...

Well, this is disastorous for scoring. Without even waiting for them to come back from commercial because I know their highlights won't help much....
How are we going to score this now that we have no idea who exited in what order? Should we default to appearance points and give the final 4 extra points for making the final 4 and main event? Plus points to the winner?

MITH- i am trying to post my totals. Because 2 guys sat out I started with 13 points for Nitro instead of 11? You think still stay with 11? Or go to 13 to get to an even 30 for the winner?

Why not stay with 11 for the low end and make up the difference by giving the 2 extra poiunts to Kane, for a total of 40 for the winner? Really it should have occured to me that there should be more than a 1 point diff between 1st and 2nd place.

Wow....I guess I'm back.
Lita involved with Kane, who will now be involved with Benoit, for the title.
All in all, a great week for my team. If Gunn can show up for a Smackdown match, even better.
All 6 wrestlers giving me 13 plus points...most excellent.
And Kane will never, EVER win the title from Benoit.
I am really liking the pushes that Eugene and Benjamin are getting. They should really let Orton dump the strap, move him to main event status, and let some of these faces getting a major push get some IC time.
It's sad to see the tag team match tonight was better than any match at the PPV.
And when is Batista going to get pushed as a monster. Last week, he obliterates Tajiri, this week, he goes head to head with Kane. Great stuff.
Best RAW in awhile. Better than the one I saw live in Calgary.
Might be a short time in 5th place for me. Hope you all got your shots in while you could.

i agree. now is the time for Orton to lose the strap to a rising face, either Benjamin or Eugene, and have him lose it because of HHH interference.
build toward a slow break up with those two, eventually having one turn on the other.
but i fear the WWE will do one of their seemingly patented moves where they give a newcomer like Eugene a push, even have him get the rub from someone like the Rock, then push him off camera for a month...

I don't see HHH costing Orton the title yet. If they are smart they will let it build even slower than that. Eugene would be an interesting choice but I would probably give it to Benjamin. You don't want to push Eugene too fast. The title won't get him over any more than he would normally anyway. Let him continue to do what he is doing and give the belt to Benjamin.
And kev, don't assume Kane won't take the strap briefly. This main event has been booked for a month. My guess is that the WWE is considering giving him the strap briefly if he chooses to try the Olympics. Its very late to make that committment but if he did the publicity he could draw for the company would be huge. And if he was the champ it would make it even bigger. You are probably right in assuming it won't happen but don't say never. Its Vince.
Oh, and I guess my Kane choice instead of Booker worked out well. I fell ass backwards into the right choice on that one.

Seriously, what happened to them?

That sucks, Species.
Hardy got beat up by Kane after the Kane/Venis match. JR said Christian was still nursing injuries from last weeks cage match with Y2J.

Christian may actually be hurt. He skipped this weekend's house show with the same excuse. I wonder if he injured something last week.

Y2J looked legit hurt when his knee bounced off the ring steps..
I show up a minute late and didn't even see my boy Johnny Nitro... oh well. Did he just walk in and get tossed out?! lol...

from pwinsider
Christian has been out of action due to a sore lower back. Tyson Tomko took his place at the house shows and management feels he did very well from what I heard. Christian should be back in action in a week or two.
Matt Hardy continues to have a sore knee. Because of that, he has been used sparingly of late and booked for shorter time periods.
