Chip Reece RIP
Wow, for those that don't know, he was a legend of sorts and considered by many to subjectively be the best player in the world. I met him briefly in 2006 at the WSOP -- he was genuinely a nice guy. I had no idea he was ill. |

Sounds like no one else including himself realized how ill he was...just had pneumonia and died in his sleep at home.
Great player period...perhaps the best we have seen all-around.
Too bad we never got to see him on High Stakes Poker...
