Pick'ems: Same as previous year's pick'ems. Pick the scores of the games and pray.

MadBall: MadPucks? Same thing as the Baseball version. The scoring will likely be points based just like the NHL.

The games should be ready for signups sometime this weekend. Here's the status of each game:

Pick'ems: Ready to go. Will open registration this weekend.

6-Pack: Fomerly "TeamWork". Same thing, new name. Finalizing scoring formula and upload of last years stats for research. Will open registration this weekend.

MadPucks: Hockey version of MadBall. Still working on this one. Have a few issues to work out about pricing and scoring. Will open registration late this weekend or early in the week.

Lastly, I'm going to try and get the Offense/Defense schedules up this weekend, so we'll see how that goes also.

TSNP Calculator is here. If you find any errors, be sure to let me know. Everything should be ok though. Note the new games layout that shows the game score and the current Period/Time of the game.

I fixed some of the naming "issues" with the TSNP Calculator. For instance, Martin St. Louis of TAM was being listed both as "St. Louis, M" and "St, M".

I have a working version of the Sortables! Rejoice!

However (and you knew there had to be a "however" involved), I'm going to wait 2-3 days before posting a "live" version of the Sortables so that I can make sure my stats source and pricing updates run smoothly, as expected. I've gotten all the data (both TSNP and pricing) for the season to date into the database, so if things keep going as smooth as they have over the last 3-4 hours, then we'll have Sortables in 2-3 days.

1. Wakes up early (or lives in Europe) and has 10-15 minutes to spare each morning.
2. Has a fast internet connection (Cable or DSL preferred).
3. Is able to access NHL.com (i.e. - you're not behind a firewall that blocks the site).
4. Understands "copy-and-paste".
5. Will "work" for peanuts (or free Kafenatid game registrations ;).

The basics of it are that I have the Sortables point admin area working (worked like a dream this morning!), but the earliest I would be able to update the stats each day is around 8-9am ET. I figure if there's someone who can do the stats update before that, then I'll give you a username and password to that area of Kafenatid and give you the instructions on what would need to be done. It's pretty simple to do, so I'm looking more for someone who can do the stats update early, compared to someone who understands the inner workings of it.

The Schedule Breakdown has been updated to sort in a "friendly" manner. The sort order is as follows:

1. Total Games: Descending
2. Home Games: Descending
3. First Game: Ascending (first game first)
4. Last Game: Ascending (last game last)
5. B2B: Descending
6. Team Name: Ascending

Well, they're baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack...

1. The player names currently do not link to a player page that gives a full breakdown of the stats. I'm still working on that.
2. While Teddybears and I (how appropriate that the two "bears" are working together) are getting the stats update situation figured out, stat updates may not occur first thing in the morning. I'll try to have them updated by 9am ET at the latest, but there are no guarantees, so no complaints.
3. Prices should be updated between 12pm and 1pm each day.
4. If you find an error, please email me with the problem to prevent cluttering up this thread. Also, provide as much specifics as you know. If it's a difference of TSNP, don't just say, "The TSNP are wrong." Please give me what the TSNP should be so that I can fix the problem in a timely manner.
5. Currently, the Sortables only show the top 100 players. I will be adding in the ability to see more players later.

Player names are now linked to the Player Page in the Sortables. The Player Page lists the last 30 days worth of games, the next 21 days schedule, and other info.

The Offense/Defense Schedule has now been seperated into the Offense Schedule and the Defense Schedule for easier use and more information.

Flash Offense/Defense Schedule is back up. No link will be added to the left-side menu, so you may want to bookmark it if you use it.

I made a few updates to the Sortables...

1. You can now specify a number of players to display using "Max Players." The default is 100, though displaying more doesn't seem to affect download speed on my cable modem, so you should be ok with whatever number you want. FYI: Only those players who have played at least 1 game will show up in the Sortables, no matter how many players you want to see. The current total number of players that have played at least 1 game is 654, with Miikka Kiprusoff being the worst in terms of TSNP at -98 for the season.
2. The font for the main display has been reduced by 1 point for multiple reasons, including print out size, etc. If this is too small, deal with it. ;) Seriously though, if it's too small, just let me know
3. The player page has been updated with a few minor changes. The distinction between a game date and a non-game date has been decreased a little to make the stats for non-game days easier to read. Let me know if this was decreased too much.
4. A few other minor things were updated/changed that you probably won't notice much, if at all.

In other words, Mr. Mario is currently averaging 84 TSNP/Gm. Over the next 21 days, he has 8 games, so it would be projected to 672 TSNP. Does that sound like a reasonable way for the projections to be determined? If not, suggestions?

rinkwide, what I'll likely do is set up a Projection-YTD, Projection-30, Projection-15, and Projection-7 within the "Point Period" form field and just have the difference be the TSNP/Gm average used to calculate each one. At that point, you could choose whichever one you want.

1. 21-day Schedule has now been added to the main Sortables page.
2. 7-day TSNP/GP fixed, as well as a few others that were having the same error.
3. Projections are in the works. I'll post more info about when to expect them later tonight.

FYI, I'm going to base the games played percentage for all projections on the YTD games played. I'm doing this because if a player misses one game, then the 7-day projections are going to be grossly inaccurate.

For instance, if a player has played 29 out of 30 games, that's a 97% games played percentage. If that player has 10 games over the next 21 days, then it's likely that they'll play all 10. If I use the 7-day games played (we'll say the team played 3 games) for the 7-day TSNP/GP Projection ("Projection-7"), then that player will only be projected to play 7 games. For a player like Lemieux, that's a difference in projection of about 250 TSNP.

Now you may wonder about an injured player. If a player is injured, then they'll slowly move down the charts because every game their team plays without them, their games played percentage will take a hit (minimum of 1.2% for each game missed). I think the negatives of this slow movement down is far better than the inaccuracy pointed out above, sooooooooo...

The 21-day Schedule should now be fixed. Until 12-noon, the 21-day Schedule should include the games for the current day. After that, it should switch over to show the next night's games as "1".

The domain was more for my web design business than for the fantasy sports site, but when Gleem.net went down, I just transferred it to Kafenatid.net since I had bought that domain along with the .com one.
