Arturs Irbe has been placed on waivers by Carolina.
What a difference a year makes. Last season Irbe was in the nets in the
Stanley Cup finals, and this season he finds himself now on waivers, and
available for any team to pick up. Irbe has posted a 3.06 GAA, .884 save
percentage and only 7 wins this season. It is clear that Kevin Weekes is the
goalie of the future in Carolina, and Irbe will be gone at some point. If you own
Irbe, hold on to him for now and hope he somehow ends up on a team where
he will start.
