MacLean quits coaching worst team in the league.

This is actually fairly interesting to me. It seems MacLean never mastered the idea of winning on the road. If we were to assume that all teams have played a fairly equal number of home and away games and simply doubled their home win total (as if they played all games at home), CBJ would be tied for 17th in the league with 16 wins. By comparison, they're currently tied for last place (28th with 2 other teams) with 9 wins. That 12 place jump using just home wins is the biggest in the NHL right now. The next closest is 8 places for CAR. Also, still using just home wins, CBJ would be tied 8th in the Western Conference, instead of tied for 15th.

If CBJ could ever learn how to win, or even tie or just force OT, on the road, they could actually be a somewhat decent team. Or at least not the bottom of the barrel in the NHL.
