With all the new trades gained because of the allstar break, their should be lots of movement today...

Nabokov > Burke
Modin > Gagné
Savard > Sundin

We can expect, an Atlanta drop and a Souray drop today !

Heathly => Hossa
Leopold => McCabe

I'm still looking at a replacement for Nabokov, I have 6.1 Million to spend..

I also have Nabokov and am torn about whether to sell or not. His next game is at Columbus, but after that he has 3 more on the road, and I wonder if Toskala will start one of them.

I also have but only $6.2M to spend, but do not have Burke. I am contemplating this move.

Thoughts?

I wanted Sakic this morning so I went Doan->Sakic (the only way I could afford this move). It would be nice to get some points out of my Centers. Perhaps tonight is the night.

Yeah, Tuques, that is what I am going to do. Thanks. However, at this stage of the game, $ is secondary to points. I want this move to pan out because Burke is going to outscore Nabokov over the next two weeks. $ will be the gravy. I think Burke will, but Nabby sure has been good to me over the past month (3-4 shut-outs, I believe).

Ahh, I wish there was an undo feature! ARGH. More problems for my B team. Went to Johnnnson from Leopold and now I'm 20K short of Sundin. I'd take that trade back in a second and go to a cheaper D man or hold Leopold to go Savard > Sundin. Now I'm screwed and have to use another trade to drop savard.

I guys, big gamble also today. I decided to get out of Naslund prior to the break in order to get forsberg...

I did on my Dark angel* team:

NAslund--forsberg
kovalchuk--hossa
doan--sundin

Yesterday was...théo--burke and souray--mcabe..

Two very fun days, full of trading...we should have breaks more often to gather trades...I'm a tradeolic...

Big gamble, big points...hope so...

Theo -> Burke - Clearly should have been done yesterday.. Da%$ work for not allowing me to look ahead yesterday morning....

Savard -> Sakic... Couldn't afford Thorton and besides Little Joe has a few more games coming up.

Thining of going Naslund- Havlat, Ribiero- Sakic, doesnt gain any games tommorrow but I think Sakic, Havlat will outpoint Naslund, Ribiero plus Ottawa usually kills Montreal. Just a hunch because I could wait a night but think I'll jump the gun on this one.

Made the freeze with a pretty big hangover, but at least I made it, I did some nice stuff

A:
Thornton > Sundin
Ribiero > Sakic
Naslund > Hossa
Raycroft > DiPietro

C:
Ribiero > Spezza
Thornton > Sakic

B:
Ribiero > Doan
Thornton > Sakic

Naslund is my favorite player and Hossa is on my never again list? Bad to take a guy off? We'll see, wanted move diversity over getting another Av in Hejduk or Tanguay. I'm holding St Louis all the way through, the sked picks right back up and he's at an all mighty 70 for the last 30.

DiPietro, kinda ballsy, but moves like this get me where I am. I wanted Ribiero to be my 03' Jason Blake or Datsyuk, but there are enough opportunities as center right now especially Sakic and Sundin, too great to pass up on now.

Damn Belfour and his bad back. Now just watch him make a miraculous recovery and get back-to-back-to-back shutouts now that I've traded him.
DiPietro's has been hot but I didn't have the balls to get him. I figure Snow's going to play at least once every 3 games and let's face it, they are the Islanders. Not exactly a team known to consistently put pucks in the net. I'll be more confortably going with Kiprusoff and Aebischer down the stretch.
I traded for Havlat who was on my never again list. Couldn't pass up the easy cash and nice schedule. One last chance for him to get himself off my list. Last 4 times I picked him up, twice he's got hurt and just plain sucked the other two times.
How the hell does Spezza keep putting up points? He's now a fourth line guy who gets some time on the 2nd power play unit and only plays around 14 minutes a game. I'll be pissed if he picks up another empty net point today.

More trades, more success rotoguru didn't get the crown last year. We've got a great shot with KWizard, Die Habs, Doom, bookie, El Tel, and tommyd all within range. So much quality right there alone,

This may be the best run I've ever had. It's going to be over 7000 since 1/19. That's probably 1000 clear of a lot of great teams and managers. I was very suprised when I added it up and saw it so strong this is a 280 average with three 0s.

Naslund injury but with his sked he was a must move anyways. Nagy also left the game, early thoughts are Tanguay and Havlat I guess, it's a real shame that the wing selection is not what it really could be. Imagine if Palffy, Mogilny, and Jagr were going strong.

Luongo and Aebischer give up 3 goals combined - good enough for 35 TSNP. :-(

If you want to take a risk, Sykora could put up some nice numbers for the next week or so. The Fedorov-Sykora-Leclerc line looked solid. Could have been an even bigger night for them if Fedorov hadn't missed wide on the empty net. Heck, be really ballsy and get Leclerc! Trent Hunter's another option if his knee's ok.

But he's a "can't miss." Nice rationalization, Filthy Rich. Good luck with Turco. Looks a potential differentiation pick.

There is some validity to this choice though: Dallas is 16-6-6 at home this year, and that is a strong record.

Many of these home games are against weaker opponents: Anaheim, Minnesota, Edmonton, Los Angeles.

I will even mull it over meself!

The thing about Luongo is he usually gets positve points even when he gives up 3 or 4 goals. Also the last time he played Boston he was about 45 seconds away from a 44 save SO, I know because I had him.

I went with Luongo... I've got to stop my run of mediocrity... I moved into the top 50 just before the all star break and then have pretty much been bouncing between 40 and 60 ever since.... I'm sure I won't get a lot of sympathy, but it's frustrating no matter where your rank is when you hit a "rough" spot.. I'm sure SW understands ;->....

Luongo x3.

Those dull spots are tough, just gotta try and keep making RV throughout the dull spots, so when you get hot, nothing will hold you back.

Luongo also...

These dull spots are terrible...but are difficult times to go trough stronger...right after...

However Bookie, I would not say that being 40-60 world rank is not good. You are doing a great job!

I wish I could do the same...SW you are getting away...everyday...

Have a good week-end!

Picked up Giguere on a couple of my teams. He's another one of those guys that will usually get you positive points even when he loses cause he faces so many shots. I guess I'm just annoyed at all those negative TSNP nights from guys like Osgood, Lalime, and Brodeur this season. But the way my luck has been going for a few of my teams, Giguere will probably be sucking on his water bottle straw a few too many times tonight.

Really frustrating not being able to make much use of my RV advantage over other teams.

Same here, my roster advantage is useless right now. No top D (Lidstrom, Pronger, Gonchar, MacInnis, Blake, all non-factors at the moment) so money is useless there, and no top goalies worth spending on. I'll put cash there if the schedule is nice, but there are just as acceptable options in the 5-6 mil range. Forward isn't much better, with Naslund and Forsberg out, and Bertuzzi playing like a 6 mil winger.

I have to hope it turns around soon, as my entire strategy (started 6 days late) was to out-point people with money. Sitting in 380th spot with no real advantage to exploit isn't exactly what I was hoping for...

Chiodo - 30 TSNP!

Aebischer >> Chiodo on the 25th on one of my Ultimate teams. Probably the one ranked lowest then.

Will Aebischer be a big price loser? Or will people hold him? Murray, Iginla, or Sullivan?

Aebischer --> Luongo

I feel the Avs are in a slump, and I do not know when it will stop, but they are losing, and the last two were pretty bad (5-1).

I think Aebisher us a big loser today, but I'm holding. That was my initial plan of holding him all the way through, and I'm sticking with it. I'm starting to get a nice trade bank, and I'm liking it.

Holding St. Louis as well, it's only a little 2 day hole 1 in 4.

Held Aebischer on 4 of my teams and traded him for Kolzig on one. Just got to hope Forsberg gets back soon and the addition of Boughner makes a difference.

My RV took a beating, but in St. Louis and Aebisher, I think I saved 4 trades. I'll take that, my strategy is changing because the 6 mil D men as Rogue said, aren't playing. If those guys were head and shoulders ahead and getting 37-40 a game like last year, I would've made the trades to keep getting RV, but I'll just save them I guess.

Saving trade, I'll never be able to do so... This morning I had seen enough of Bouche already and traded him for Abby... To be able to to the move I also traded McCabe for Berard...

I guess it's looking more and more like Federov > Vinny this morning. Anaheim looked horrible yesterday. I really like Tampa Bay's schedule a whole bunch this morning.

I'm still waiting on Sullivan, I'd rather have a Hossa game over a Sullivan game I think....I guess some of the Ott guys can be moved next week, but Havlat has been tremendous.

Did end up making that Federov > Vinny move. St. Louis a big gainer, but he's still got room to grow as far as owners, his points still definitely matter. 4 out of the top 5 do not have him.

Slegr - Berard (5 in 7) today.

Berard gets me to Pronger on the 2nd. Hoping that the Blues will wake up from their snooze.

I'm ading another move I didn't make (Raycroft->Luongo) to a very very long list of regrets in this season of mediocrity.

If center weren't so thin, I would've moved Sundin today, but I looked at the options, and there's just not much there. That's okay, I'll save a trade, Mogilny is back anyways.

Luongo now Richard? After 2 SOs in his last 3, why not just Broduer or Turco or something, seems late to me.

That's what I regret, SW, not making the move a few days ago to get Luongo's shutouts. I thought about it but didn't pull the trigger.

Yea, but in a mad rush to differentiate the last 20 games, I think Broduer or Turco this morning would've been better. Let's hope he does well for all of us. He's only around 30% I think, still lots of places to gain if he does well.

Or to put it into a better phrase because I'm a crappy poster, the move to Luongo was a few days ago, you missed it, move on to the next one is what I guess I'm trying to say....

Richard, I'll give ya a better one. I had Luongo and Raycroft. Traded Luongo thinking the Bruins would win the game.... Fortunately, I did have him for the past few games, as my internet wasn't working at home. It's amazing how well you do when you can't second-guess every trade, or panic when a guy has a bad game....
