I know threads like these are a bit taboo, so apologies in advance.
In the interest of re-acquainting myself with hockey and the excitement of doing a draft, I drafted a fantasy team the other day. Since I really have no understanding of the game beyond watching various playoff games in the past 10 years and playing Sega's NHL '94, I'm clueless as to how my draft turned out. Here's my team:
C J. Arnott (Dal - C) C D. Briere (Buf - C) LW L. Nagy (Pho - LW) LW O. Kvasha (NYI - LW) RW M. Havlat (Ott - RW) RW D. Heatley (Ott - RW) D R. Blake (Col - D) D S. Zubov (Dal - D) D B. Rafalski (NJ - D) D S. Salo (Van - D) BN S. Kozlov (Atl - LW) BN M. Savard (Atl - C) BN P. Brisebois (Col - D)
G E. Nabokov (SJ - G) G M. Kiprusoff (Cgy - G) BN R. DiPietro (NYI - G)
It's a standard 12-team Yahoo head-to-head league that counts G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, GWG, W, GAA, SV%, SHO.
How did I do? What are my strengths/weaknesses? If you're bored and/or want to start up some more dialogue on the Hockey Boards, feel free to weigh in. Thanks in advance!
