My mistake on the Little M 9.03 pick. I made a mental of it, but it slipped my mind when the time came.

Crap....I picked for Beezer and myself before I read the thread.

I will delete the picks.

I have stopped the draft, because when you enter a queued pick and then erase it again, the queue doesn't recognize the original pick as being on top of the queue anymore. Haha...I hope that makes sense to you all.

Little M, just post here who you want and I can fix it.

I looked at the "draft peek" at it seems that I got Justin Williams at 8.10. I think that the next available player on my queue was Henrik Sedin. Let's leave it at that and get the draft moving again. Sorry for any problems.

Re: Taxman's last post in the other thread...

barilko6 ...Curiosity prompts me to ask when kafenatid projects this draft will be finished???

Again, I urge a discussion about reducing the time allowed (currently set a 6 hours) for a pick...and further request that the commish reduce the time to 1/2 the allowed time for people who have let the clock run. IMHO, if a manager (vagrant) is going to miss their pick, not check in and not leave a queue, why should the rest of us have to eat 6 hours each round when the vagrant's draft pick comes up.

I agree, we are definitely looking at going past the start of the season with this draft. Right now Kafenatid projects the draft to be completed on the 27th, but that doesn't take into account that the first 3 rounds were completed in a matter of 5 minutes, which greatly lowers our average time per pick, and the fact that we haven't really experienced a weekend yet.

We need to pay attention to the clock, leave some queues, and if we get into more trouble, Taxman, I will definitely look at changing the clock.

Yesterday was a train wreck as we waited for 10.5 hours for someone to make their picks.

Lets leave short list of queues, that is why I threw $10 into Kafenatid, no?

After reading the above posts, I am feeling a lot better about the Bouwmeister pick. At the time, I wasn't sure if I had over-reached, but I felt confident that one of the other players that I was considering would still around at my next pick. After Chara was drafted (and Timonen and Bieksa a little earlier), I thought that I should take Bouwmeister while he was still available.

Great job, Little M, on building your D!
It's obvious from last year that D is a very important part of your team, very impressive.
Sorry, PFB, that my 9.09 pick was delayed. Usually I'm very fast at picking, but this time I was distracted by a company party. For the record, my last 2 picks were influenced by alcohol, hope that I won't be punished for that;-)
I also agree that we should set the clock to at least 3 hours.

Alright, I mistakenly have set the weekend draft pause to start as of midnight last night. (That was the default setting.) I guess Fridays are considered a part of Fred's weekend? :) Must be nice!

I have emailed him and hopefully we can get that changed. (I can't change a draft pause while the pause is actually in effect)

I'll be without internet from Saturday to noon Sunday. But I'll get a text message on my cell when it's my turn to pick, and will also be able to follow the draft on my cell using "draft peek". I'll post my pick here or on the draft thread. If that doesn't work I'll email barilko my pick. Hopefully this will work, we need to get some rounds in during the weekend.

This weekend is going to be a real problem for me. I will be extremely busy and will only be able to check in occasionally. I will try to leave a queue, but would prefer it to only be used for one round at a time. With there being no timer, I don't want to hold up the draft for a long period of time. The best solution may be for the Commish to give me a placeholder if I haven't made my pick after 30 minutes and I will pick a substitute when I get a chance.

Ok...our draft's projected finish time has now officially moved past the actual starting time of the first game of the season. These long delays are going to put us into an October finish, especially with many of us gone this weekend.

Please people, have the decency and respect for other members of this draft to at least leave a short queue to help with the flow.

Crosby, Kiprusoff, Luongo, Thornton, Ovechkin.

Ovechkin makes the list because he is a LW.

Crosby
Thornton
Heatley
Luongo
Ovechkin

It will probably be like that for a few years to come, i suspect.

Good draft everyone, looks like well be in with a few days to spare and tinker around. Are we doing a recap thread like in past seasons?

I'd go (not in this order though):

Crosby, Kiprusoff, Spezza, Thornton, Ovechkin.

Since everyone knows that I never go with goalies early.

Alright...all the players have been entered, and Yahoo is up and ready to go. All undrafted players will be available as free agents in 2 days.

Check your rosters and make sure I have all your players correct.

Good Luck All! I don't have time to set up a recap right now, but will get to it tomorrow if nobody sets one up by then...

If you set up a recap thread I'll gladly submit might thoughts and analysis. I'd be interested to her from you all on this draft, especially with the 3 keepers...
I'd like to know what you bums wuz thinking. Cause I had a hell of a time drafting from the #12 position. I know one thing for sure. I won't be in that draft position next year. lol.

Anyone looking here ? I'd be willing to trade one of my center for a Def. Using Yahoo trading block is also good to trigger activities in the league.

I would, if I had anyone good to trade, I've got Crosby and a gaggle of scrubs & underachievers!

Congrats to The Dienasty on his championship, and it wasn't even close!

I think this is your second win in three years, no?

Hey, thanks!

Yeah this is #2 for me, i believe i won year 1 as well. I don't know if i would have lasted another few weeks longer at the top as my lead has been shrinking on a constant basis. Good push by CSF, and a fun year overall.

Can't wait to do it again!

Thanks to Barilko for running the league. I'm off to join the Leafs at the golf course. I'll be back for Year 4. 11th pick if I'm not mistaken.

Just a thought. Anyone want to try something different this year?

ESPN is also having free fantasy hockey this year.
