Subject: 11/28 The Bosh, I did the MOON(ster) BOSH action

  Posted by: Headless Gunners - [19282419] Wed, Nov 28, 2007, 16:57

My first action thread, hope that's OK.
Don't know the proper protocol on starting one of these.
Just thought it was a Raptor RV kind of day

Can I get a consensus on trading Howard for Bosh today or am I jumping the gun on this one?

I wouldn't do it yet. Going to a Phoenix player at the end of the week gets you an extra game, and if Howard has a good night tonight his price may not suffer too much.

I just realized last year I did the exact opposite, and made a preemptive move of Howard to Bosh and I ended up getting screwed. Bosh had a decent game, then started sucking, then got hurt. Howard lost a little bit, but then went back up and outplayed Bosh.

Captain, trading one of the top 4 performers on the season on a day he plays is really pushing your luck. Especially on a day he plays the Sonics. So if you're all that set on selling Howard early, do it tomorrow, but not today. And who knows, maybe tomorrow you will find that it isn't Bosh you want as replacement because he sucked, got hurt, etc.

The problem coming up of course is lack of long term centers...(Thus an extra Howard problem)
If I'm not mistaken, Bosh was good there last year.
Has Moon been the official starter at Center ?
Those hanging with Kaman will have to get out of Bynum, oir even those without might go Bynum to Kaman soon.
The other center spot may become a short term fix.

From what I understand Bargnani has been starting at center for Toronto, but Nesterovic is reclaiming that job tonight according to rotoworld. Moon got one start last game.

I'm personally going with Howard, Sean Williams, and Kaman at center despite the days off. Howard will become Amare or Marion (or a slight chance of Nash) at the end of the week, barring anything stupid happening.

6,

conversely, there was also a time last year where Howard started to bleed at the end of a heavily owned period and he did the complete opposite of reward his holders. Don't remember when it was exactly...I think it was a Howard to Boozer debate.

I hope he rewards holders this time though, as I plan to hold til 12/4.

but he might be better than Lebron. Ugh. At least it is his non shooting hand. I would suspect a little splint or tape can take care of this. With the team out of gas from Boston and getting it handed to them tonight I would imagine they just threw in the towel (I hope)

From Rotoworld:
LeBron James left Wednesday's game with a left index finger injury, but the good news is that X-rays were negative.

It must be somewhat serious because he's in street clothes on the Cavs' bench in the third quarter at Detroit. He had 15 points in 18 minutes, and if you listen closely, you can hear fantasy owners world wide screaming "No!," as LeBron has clearly been carrying teams for his owners. The good news is that the finger is not fractured and is on his non-shooting hand.

yeah but I got him from Howard a day later. I wouldn't worry too much right now since it is his non shooting hand. I would even be willing to miss one game with him for that 2 player production.

Remember Cle was on a B2B with the last game going to OT then having to get on a plane and go to Detroit. They clearly threw in the towel on this one.

I haven't noticed that they are missing on a lot of Udrih's passes. Sacramento is 2-23 in the fourth quarter. This was an ugly win, the kind you have to have during the course of a season. Wow, I am shocked, but happy. Baron was not at his best by far and we still win. I can sleep peacefully tonight:-)

Another odd stat of tonight: only Tmac and Yao took free throws for their team tonight. Could this be a record?

Just woke up and couldn't sleep -- sat down to see how last night turned out fantasy wise... Lebron hurt! Marvin Williams hurt! WOW what a night.. I've always thought this game would be really wild if they added a "Reset Roster" feature that you could use a couple times a season because the roster I would pick today looks nothing like the one I currently have!!!

#23 "Soulman, you are a prophet!"

Thanks Captain, but it's rather a case of "Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while" ;)

Interesting night BTW:

- Louis showing that he can produce with or without Korver. My impression is even that since Korver is back, Lou now is racking up additional assists to more than make up for slightly less scoring. I like that kid! :)

- Dwight the Dominator with another day at the office, lighting up opponents fore and aft. So just doing the expected.

- Parker with a near triple double but of course nobody has him.

- Speaking of triple doubles, what a sad end to LBJ's incredible run. Thanks LeBron for your superhuman performances and for all the money I'm going to cash in today. Hope your finger gets better soon!

I cashed in and if I hear news today he might play there is always the "UNDO" process.
I am still up 400k on howard so I guess I will add to the saying "Keep on selling"
