I really don't like that when I switch from "results" to "schedule" it doesn't take me back to the current day's schedule. What good does seeing yesterday's schedule do for me?

Ref -- you better watch your back, my 3-headed Seattle monster is coming for you. It eats games played and breathes firey rebounds!

Thing is that your Seattle guys started coming on partly because of MY Seatle guy hurting (Wilcox). Now he's back and hopefully as he starts getting back into the groove, my stats will jump and yours will diminish at the same time! ;) Man I really need Shaq back. When healthy he can really help me. And Tinsley's absence really has hurt my steals--among other things.

F Hedo Turkoglu - ORL [SF] vs MIA Final .615 .917 27 3 12 5 - 1 -

Another great line by Hedo tonight.

Wow, picking him over Delonte has paid HUGE dividends fo me this year. I was all set to take Delonte but seeing the role Hedo was going to have and his potential upside, I changed gearsand took him. Thank Goodness!!!

Man you guys are good. Don't know if I can hold on much longer...

I know Pete is still kicking himself by passing on Chris Paul and I would be doing the same had I passed on Brandon Roy. He was a game time decision with an injury last night and messed around and got a triple-double. I got a chance to watch the game last night and even when his shot wasn't falling, he was still so valuable to that team. The crowd was chanting MVP several times. I don't get a chance to catch Portland much, but they are a fun team to watch.

In the last week or so, I've gotten a triple-double from Roy, Hedo and Dirk. It's amazing how losing Shaq and Tinsley has killed me esp. in blks, Rebs and steals. Chandler missing another game smarts big time too.

I would be willing to offer up:

My 2nd round pick (which we all know will be pretty good!)

LaMarcus Aldridge (who has previously been untouchable)

Josh Howard (Who also was untouchable)

Any other player on my roster.

What I want in return: I would be willing to put together a package for an elite superstar who is on the younger side of his career.

Also looking for draft picks for anyone on my roster.

Just pulled this off Reuters:

Actually, after further investigations, it has been determined that Dez Mason wasn't "enabling his Bird Rights", but rather "just giving Mike D 'the Bird'".

We will continue in our efforts to determine if it was "the Bicentenial", "the Shocker" or just a classic flip.

Yep, that's the deal. I agreed on the site to that. I like the draft picks you can add to the deals now. If only CBS would go back to that!!!

I really didn't want to make this deal as Kleiza really helped me when he's getting mins but who knows if that will happen or not the rest of the year. Certainly couldn't keep him myself. Scola may not help me enough by himself so still might need to make another deal.

Guys who might be kept who I might be able to move right now is Tinsley, Farmar or McCants. Farmar is liek Kleiza, when he gets time he goes off. JT is great when he's healthy--which hasn't been often this year. McCants is scoring almost 20 points a game lately with high 3s and is helping me right now there--just not so much where I need it.

For anyone rebuilding, I'm willing to part with Tinsley. Prob. not going to help you this year, but that's not what you're looking for anyhow. I paid a first to get him myself for this year. Was incredible until he hurt his knee on Dec. 15th and tried to play through it. You can get him at a discount now.

Might also be willing to part with Farmar, but at this point, it would take a nice offer as he could even make my keeper list next year. Also, we all saw what he can do right now when he gets mins. An injury and he helps me right now.

There has to be a study somewhere that shows Tinsley as the most injury prone player in the NBA. In his first 6 years, he's averaged less than 60 games played. Thats not including this season, where he has played less than 2/3 of the games and is currently still hurt.

His dimes and steals are nice, but that FG% will kill you. Add in a mediocre FT%, I guess I'm not seeing his value at much more than a 6th round swap and a very weak 6th keeper.

But hey, thats me, I've always thought he was the plague.

RSF, I am really not a threat to you. You shouldn't be so scared of me improving. My team was so balanced and then boom. I can't get back in it now. Just a little surprised after all of your deals, including getting two helpful players for, in relity, a one-round downgrade when I just took a 3 round downgrade for a guy who prob. won't even do enough to make it worthwhile.

I find it odd that this is happening in baseball right now. That another top manager would demote my attempt to trade so I can improve. But it's all good. I am sure it was all with good intentions and part of it I agree--well the FGP not being the best.

It's time for supper, so I can post all of the numbers, but Tinsley was killing until his injury on Dec. 15. He tried to play through it and it hurt his stats after that, obviously. But I was really enjoying his big assists and steals--two of the most valuable stats to get--before he got hurt. Also, he can score over 20 points and hit 3s. He'll even rebound some. Now while he has had the injury bug in the past, he played 72 games last year and was on his way this year with a new up-tempo coach and a game-plan that was tailor-made to his style--finally--when he goes down with a knee. In previous years he's had foot and shoulder problems. Those are all a thing of the past. Knees are tricky.

To say he's only worth an upgrade 6th round pick and he's a weak 6th keeper is your opinion. Though bringing what he brings to the table, he was more than worth it up to Dec 15th when he went down. If he had sat instead of trying to play through it, I'd have had him back for good in 4-6 weeks. Instead, he could miss anywhere from 2 more weeks to the rest of the year. He just turned 30 so I'm happy with his age. Again, as of now, he's MY 6th keeper, but would really like to have someone in my lineup helping me now.

Yeah I saw that as c-block as well Ref - like "this guy sucks, nobody trade for him and help Ref improve the next month!"

Tinsley would be a fine keeper for a thin team who doesn't give a crap what he does the next 4 weeks. And if they could give you someone who is producing right now (but ISN'T keeper material), that seems like a decent match.

On a side note, part II of my Zyndruas/Banks trade Marcus Banks is starting to show his value... now if Z would just come back later this week this team is ready to make a final push. And if they shut down Wade the Banks/Ricky duo could really help me make that push as planned.

The Heat announced on Monday that Dwayne Wade will miss the rest of the season because he needs "stimulation treatment" on his surgically-repaired left knee.

This is the bombshell we we've been dreading all season. Wade missed Friday's game because he could hardly get out of bed, and as coach Pat Riley said in a press conference, "It's time [to shut Wade down]...We've been walking around on eggshells with this thing." Ricky Davis should immediately be scooped up and Marcus Banks should also have solid value once he returns from his hamstring injury.

!!!excellent!!!

After competing for much of the season I think my team realized it was over achieving and headed back to earth (that and I was way ahead in games played)

If are interested everyone on my teams if available except for Durant and Gay.

Biedrins just returned and could help a team with rebounds while Baron Davis is could help a team in pts, assts and 3s. Contact me if you are interested.

Guard Marcus Banks - Banks, injured in Saturday's game against Atlanta, could miss two weeks with the injury, so get him benched ASAP.

Its still ok - cause that just means more PT for Ricky Davis who has 4 weeks til he is a free agent... sure to be good and selfish those weeks!
Kind of like Zydrunas injury is just putting my Varejao handcuff to work.
But yeah, having less games played than everyone else, I'd rather not have all these guys dinged up.

Isn't he great when he gets to do things his own selfish way?! Remember when he intentionally missed a shot to get an extra rebound and earn a triple double? Thats the kind of dedication you want from your fantasy players :)

He's a free agent after this season, sure to head to a crappy team so he can be the main guy and put up lines like last night in anonymity. He'd make a great last keeper! Buy low folks... I am still looking to take the younger K-Mart or Mo Will and package them with Ricky or perhaps Zydrunas to upgrade into another good big man. Trading Gasol has left me thin up front.

With this news, I'll upgrade my Tinsley value to 5th rounder. :)

Actually, I do rescind some of my dislike to the TinMan (how truly appropriate) after I saw his assists were 8+...I had sworn it was 6+, which is dime a dozen (bu-dunt-duh). 8+ is sooo nice. Just wish he would get/stay on court (hoops not criminal).

Thinking about it, I think I must just have a general disliking for PGs. I've knocked Rondo, TJ Ford, TinMan among others lately. Rondo has proven me wrong on the shooting aspect. Nothing like playing with 3 HOFers to get you open looks.

Re: 83 Go for it! ;)

RE: 85 Only bad thing is the three people I was talking to Tinsley about decided against it after that post (not that the post had anything to do with it, could just be a coincidence). So I parted with Farmar. I was high on Farmar though. He could be huge next year as the starting PG in LA with that team. He's done well this year when he's gotten more mins.

bmd is in great position to win b2b for the first time in this league. Sure there are a few of us who blip up every once in awhile before settling back down, but he's clearly the odds on favoire. Just hope I can have that last blip on the final night!

Again, it's my timing.

I pass on Charlie V in the Scola talks as I wanted to keep Farmar. Then I get him after Charlie goes nuts. Then Charlie has a horrible schedule and take even less to make sure i get him in his last game in which laid an egg. Now, he sprains his ankle and out of nowhere Yi comes back. Egads. Charlie is better than Yi but the Bucks ignore that little tidbit and go with the Chinese-hype.

I read somewhere that the Yi's people (and maybe the chinese gov) are putting pressure on the Bucks to rest him so he's ready for the Olympics. Since that date it seemed like they cut his minutes in half for whatever reason.

If thats true, I assume the minutes are CV's assuming his health.

Whoa---if you mean short term, maybe. But long term I really believe Yi (EEEE) will be a star. He has an inside/outside game and at that size he could be special. NOT just because I happen to own him, either. Well, maybe 15% of it.

Trade deadline is here this weekend... anyone want to get a deal done? I've got Kevin Martin or Mo Williams available for 2 players that will help me the next 4 weeks... got leftover guys you won't be able to keep anyway? cash them in! condense that excess talent into an UNDER 25 stud!

I'd also like to note that have gotten 10 trades done in this league which is freaking amazing. Does anyone else have any more than one completed (not counting the ones they've done with me?!)... Species and Mike D combined? they got nothing :)

Yi (E) is going to be known as the Big Yi (E) in the US. Because he's really big, he's great, and maybe he's as old as RSF. Nah, he's still got hops. RSF that is.

Tinsley is for sure. Wilcox and Dirk may very well be.

I have no chance to win this year now. In fact, I'm not sure how high I can even finish.

Wilcox says his season is not nec. over. Dirk also has a high ankle sprain. He's done. I think all three are gone. Dirk is an obvious keeper. Wilcox and JT may be keepers but I could only keep one of them and obviously JT fits my needs better. With the trading deadline now passed and probably out of it, I may just hold onto him to get value before the draft next year. All depends where I am at and what is out there.

*Drew Gooden had 31 points and 16 rebounds as the Bulls made up some ground in the playoff race by defeating the Hawks. Gooden is averaging 15.1 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks since joining the Bulls…congratulations to any owners who saw his potential and traded for him or claimed him off the wire at some point.

*Chris Wilcox (sprained right pinkie) is visiting another hand specialist today and is doubtful for tonight's game. His season could very well be over.

Hedo Turkoglu will have an MRI and visit with a hand specialist on Wednesday to determine the extent of the right wrist injury that forced him out of Tuesday's game.

X-rays were taken after the game, but reports are conflicting. Florida Today reports, "X-rays showed no breaks", while the Orlando Sentinel reports, "X-rays were difficult to read because of swelling in the wrist." Until MRI results are known, here is Hedo's take: "I hope it's just a sprain. I hope it's not something like it was broken and keeps me away." His owners can only agree.

I'll certainly be happy to not log into that damn NBA site for a while. In addition to my 200 other corrections I emailed them with (only half of which were corrected)... I never got response on a question regarding game limits.

I asked what would happen if I had one game left and and started two players playing in the same game at the same position (Quinn, Ricky w/ 1 G game left). They responded with "whichever game ends first, that player will recieve points" well thats useful! No response to my follow up pointing out the flaw in their answer. Apparently they didn't have a plan for this.

Tosh and Ref saw one of the other problems... where my main page lists "Rank/Record" and shows that I have been in 11th place since about November (I finished tied for 3rd place). Instead of correcting this error after repeated requests, sending screenshots etc, they eventually said (and I quote) "just ignore that incorrect ranking and go by the standings on the league homepage"... so instead of fixing the problem they tell me "just don't look there!" haha...

Great job BMD!!! Our first repeat winner in hoops and it's two in a row.

GO, you'd think NBA would have had their act together better in year two. I'll admit they were better, but still way too many errors.

Injuries are a part of the game. It stinks when you get nailed with them to your key players but you have to roll with it. I'm very fortunate to be able to jump back up from 5th or 6th place a couple weeks ago to finish runner-up. It would be nice to win a hoops game though. Seems like I've been finishing 2nd or 3rd a lot lately!!!

Saw GO fall at the very end of the night to 4th. Looks like RSF passed him in points at the very end to give Twarpy 3rd.

Think I still tied for 3rd... is there a tiebreaker of some sort?

Yeah, I actually had a late rough patch with Mo Williams and Kevin Martin and Mike Miller all hit with injuries down the stretch and shutting it down. Chris Quinn was a lucky add and Ricky Davis stepped it up (but that I had planned on as I knew D-Wade would shut it down the way the season was going). Just thought it would be Marcus not Quinn in the PG spot.

Guess we have to assume the Standigns are correct. No there is no tiebreak--you'll split 3rd place winnings. We will dice roll it for draft position.

Thanks everyone. I was blessed with a pretty healthy team. Only 2 of my top 8 guys missed more than 15 games(Bosh missed 15 and Ford missed 31). Hell, even Grant Hill stayed healthy. He played more games this season than he has since 99-00. My center by committee looked pretty bad halfway through the season but Boone finally started to get some PT and that was huge.

I think Ref showed how well a team can improve through the draft. He didn't even have a 1st round pick and definitely had the best draft of anyone. Congrats to him on his 2nd place finish.

I see that a couple of teams made free agent pickups on Thursday, the day after the season ended. Do we allow this? Are F/A add/drops still allowed?

Also, file another $40 for future years(Pretty sure I have $35 left over from last year still). Rest goes to the site.

6th place gets their money back and it goes up from there. A few are not in the pool so it knocks it down. It's listed in the rules on the site.

Are we going to do a draft lottery like G24 (football) to coincide with the NBA draft?

I know Ref worked really hard to create the drama for the G24 draft only to a 33% turnout, but I still thought it was a pretty cool thing to do.

I loved it too... When you think about it, only about 33% of the teams cared though, so perhaps thats why. I'm sure all the lottery teams would check in to see if they stole the high pick if they knew it would be released at a certain time or whatever.

I think the tricky part here is the commishes would need to get verbal commitments from all teams that they plan to return (or at least all the lottery teams I guess). Once thats confirmed... then I think it wouldn't be a big deal.

But say if two teams were leaving -- then they don't want to wind up having that pick determined before handing out teams to the new managers.

I think we can do it anyhow. No one has told me they aren't returning and we haven't done an analysis to determine if anyone wont be invited back.

I am not sure of my time or my ability to post during the draft at this point. Also, it seems as though only about a third of the league checked in consistently during the postings based on Guru's viewing stats.

The draft is Thursday night. If we were to do it, we would need to have some people interested to tuen in during the draft. Otherwise we might as well just post it. Also, I have to be able to be around as well. Maybe we could do it throughout the day as a build up to the actual draft?

Regardless, we'd have to be sure that Guru has the time to set it up for us before then.

G24 football league has voted to end the tradition of the plaque. (Cards, G24 treasurer) and I are very happy about this as it was a major hassle. Several still want it though and we are considering ordering a customizable boblehead/trophy that each year the winner may simply keep. Since this league has had the most difficulty with the plaque, I'd like to suggest that here as well.

Soon!

Been waiting for NBA's site to get up so we can go through last year's activity before inviting players back. We will need at least one new manager though. Would be nice to have that taken care of before the lottery.

Well I am certainly going to want to put up a proposal to switch over to Yahoo. Some of the problems that pushed you away have been adjusted or at least given some options (you can have co-managers, can change commishes and keepers can be entered which even gives the option of a live draft if we wanted).

I was very disappointed with the NBA website last year and even more aggravated with their customer service which was nonexistent at times and there were issues which they would blatantly just not fix (no league specific categories on trading screens or current season stats - no 3 pt's in the default sort etc.) There were so many other errors and things wrong, only half of which were fixed and I know the commishes sent even more emails cause we were all cc'ing each other.

I also know that several other people disliked the site just by being in trade discussions with them.

Now the other question is about live scoring, and to some extent I agree 9.99 for Statracker is a rip-off, but #1 I also think live scoring isn't really all that important for a roto-league and #2 a lot of us already have Statracker, so its not any additional cost. Honestly I only really use live scoring in H2H leagues, I don't really care if I've gained 0.5 points in blocked on a given night.

As a newbie to the G20 league and to fantasy on NBA.com, I must say that I really didn't like the setup for theirfantasy site. In fact, I found that it actually took take away a lot of the enjoyment I had for the league.

I would wholeheartedly approve of a switch to Yahoo, and although I don't see live scoring as a necessity for Roto Basketball, I would actually pay the extra just to get out of NBA.com.

That being said, if we stick with NBA.com, I would still be in for the G-20.

I see that the NBA.com Ultimate Commissioner site appears to be up, but it would not allow me to log in, so maybe it's not really up yet.

I would also support a shift to Yahoo.

I will investigate Yahoo to see if the changes they made would allow us to switch back. I'll also look at nba to see if they have made it acceptable. Tosh and I had a lot of issues with NBA too but really like thh overall concept. Still if it's lacking again, I might have had enough of it as well--esp if Yahoo can do what we need.

Change Commish is an option in my baseball and football leagues, both PLUS and the regular leagues. I am just assuming they will offer that for hoops as well. Don't see why it would be any different.

Set CommissionerSelect a new commissioner from the list of managers. An email will be sent to notify the new commissioner and provide league access information. All other listed league members will be notified of the change via email.

Yes I see it. That was a response from Yahoo! Chagne commish doens't mean two can have access at the same time though.

We're going to do what is best for the league. I DO HATE that you have to wait a full day to get a player you pick up and really 2= days for WW pickup. I haven't looked at nba for this season yet. If they don't imporve it at all, obvioulsy we would be looking to dump them.
