I'll produce the stats summary again this season, along with split date capabilities - although the splits may not work for a few days.

I just realized that, as of right now, I have a total of 2 starting players on my roster. This is going to be a long season.

LOL. Was feeling pretty stoked about my team this year after a supposed "building year" last year and nabbing the top lottery pick - with a clear #1 rookie to draft. Now, I've managed to sink to dead last! The Pacers are 0-2 and looking like a non-playoff team. Lost my two free tickets to Pacers/Mavs. Maybe this isn't my year after all....

Funny thing on Dampier's production. I kinda thought "You know, its gotta be a contract year". Close. His 13 million dollar contract option is tied to "minutes played". What better way to "earn" it than by not sucking for atleast one season of your contract. (per this Dallas Morning News article).

And why isn't this written into Eddy Curry's contract? Oh yeah, Zeke was a craptastic GM.

Slizz, pretty happy about him so far :)

Almost put some money down on him winning rookie of the year at the beginning of they year. He was getting ridiculous odds for being one of the few rookies that would get significant minutes.

Who has commish control right now? that trade went through at 6:25 which kind of sucks cause J-Rich is on my bench.

Someone should be starting him, either the team he came from or my team, that trade going through at that time left him in nobodies lineup.

The trade went through at 6:25, but rosters did not start freezing until 8:00. It looks to me like GO had a 90 minute window to activate JRich for today's game.

I got an email yesterday telling me of the trade at 5:56pm. The email said "This trade will process at approximately Nov 19, 5:56 PM ET pending a veto by the league members."

It seems ESPN was a bit slow in processing this transaction.

I'm not sure that's right.

I didn't see Mags or Haslem on my "today" roster where I cold have played them IF they had a game.I'll bet GO didn't see JRich on his "today" screeN to have activated him either.

Yes. That is correct. Trades process 24 hours after they are accepted. It was the same last year, but it's always hard to remember on the first trade of the season.

I'm looking to make a big move....or a bunch of little moves. I have a variety of highly useful players with defined roles and minutes available. I also have some young up-and-coming players that can be packaged for a more established player.

Mike Bibby - still hits the 3 for the up and coming Hawks
Andrei Kirilenko - not the fantasy beast from years past, but you could do a LOT worse than his 5 REB, 3 AST, 1 BLK and 1 STL.
Tyson Chandler - still can rebound, offensive rebound and block shots
Mike Dunleavy - hits 3's and scores along with nearly a steal a game
Corey Brewer - young player averages nearly 2 steals a game and gets strong minutes on a weak MIN team.
James Harden - only a rookie but growing with each passing week. Gets a lot of OREB for a guard.
Even Elton Brand could be available, but obviously he comes with a different price tag in mind.

Some guys can go for picks/pick upgrades. Some guys I'm looking to package for a keeper upgrade. Hit me up!!

Merry Christmas!

Just checking in. I apologize that I had to leave so abruptly, but I simply wasn't able to play for awhile. Wasn't even posting at rotoguru during that time either--but I was around and was in contact with anyone who needed me via email. Rather than get someone to cover for me until I could re-join, I thought it was better that we just moved on--even though I finally had my team rebuilt and exactly where I wanted it and had all my draft picks ready to go. I really think this could be a dynasty team. It's in great hands with Dave R.

I've been getting questions and being asked for advice on things and my responses have been that I haven't followed fantasy NBA at all this season. I am getting emails on trades and league posts but I have simply deleted them. Apparently since I created the league, I cannot be removed from LM or that team and that's fine. I got a request today from a manager to team sit. After I told him that I couldn't help him with it because I wasn't current, he asked me to fix his roster as he didnt have access. I tried, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. So if any other commish can, please email Slizz and tell him you can do it. I did see the standings today and wasn't surprised to see Dave R running away with the league. Keep it up!!!

The G20 web site was updated when the trophy came. The manager page as well as the main page of all managers were also updated with the team switch.

I still don't plan on following NBA fantasy at all this season, but if anyone needs me as a league or rule resource, let me know. This league is by far the easiest to manage but still has quirks and I know you are in great hands. Thanks to everyone for a smooth transition. I hear you used Kaf for the draft and I'd be interested in speaking with the league and commishs on how that went as compared to what we normally do so we can evaluate that option in our other leagues. I haven't been following this thread so perhaps I should go back and read some of those first. I do know that CBS offers the draft option as well.

After I won the lottery (like over and over again) I thought this was my year. Then Griffin broke his kneecap in preseason, and it has been pretty ugly all the way around since.

So, bottom dweller that I (2nd year running) am....I'm looking to move the surprising Carl Landry for a sweet draft pick deal.

I know some have inquired about D.J. Augustin. Who knows if he'll get traded or not? I thought Felton would be injured by now, but so far, Augustin sits. I'd let him go too for future pick considerations, if you still "believe"

Merry Christmas to all!

Yeah, I was just about to answer that. It's pretty hard to screw up a team starting out with Granger, Roy and Dirk. And Hedo and Viilanueva.

If I tried hard enough, I'm sure I could.

I wouldn't say he's kicking our butts, he's got significantly more games played than the majority of us. I'm not worried about making up 100 rebounds and assists or 15 steals over that 30-35 game difference. I would say adjusted score factoring that in has that team in the 120's with the other top 10 teams or so.

YR certainly has a shot at it. Dave will have to use his players carefully, but he's got some wiggle room (he's well up in rebounds, for example).

if I project the standings with every team using all of their 720 games I am in front:

1 youngroman's Luschen 139
2 Team Wehner 129
3 coldwater coyotes 128
4 Extreme Basketball 120
5 SAN FORDORS 119
6 Team Nashty 114
7 slackjawed yokels 107
8 Second City Saints 105

the current projection for my team is 704 games, but even with only 692 games played I would be in front with 130pts.

this will be an interesting 2nd half. I hope my team stays relatively injury free.

Thats true, they've had over 4 days to comment on it. Its not like anyone would veto anything anyway. Dave shouldn't really miss out on Terry's game tonight because of trouble with the ESPN site.

I missed a Brook Lopez game after my trade because it was accepted at like 4 PM, and I needed to leave at 4:30 -- so I checked in at 4:15 PM and it still hadn't been processed. They say its "approximately" pushed through in 24 hours. Which is great and all that its quick, but problematic when anyone accepts a trade in the evening and trades get processed at inopportune times. They should just do it the following overnight.

I cannot disagree with any of your points GO. Unfortunately, it was not an ESPN issue. It was those darn "rookie managers" that did not know they have to click a button and actually 'accept' the trade. :-)

We can't push it through without the veto process. Otherwise we will set a precedent that could come back to haunt us some time in the future.

Wow. When the Pacers are this bad, it's hard for me to even follow the NBA at the trade deadline. After the longest span of consecutive playoff appearances in the NBA (I think) we're looking at four consecutive losing seasons. I mean we're not publicly frequenting strip clubs, bursting into the seats to throw punches, or getting into street thug gunfights, so without wins, it's pretty boring. Plus, my team stinks not only in G20 but in RIHC (AAA). All in all, a tough go this year.

By the way, I'd be happy to trade some mid-level talent for a pick upgrade, if anyone is still looking.

Once I determined I couldn't get past 5th place, I changed my focus on the season and have fallen by about 20 points. Rubio is just a one in a hundred/million chance that someone buys him out this summer. Thats a much smarter move to have that guy on my final roster than some worthless Rasho Nesterovic type.

I hate Kurt Rambis with a passion (Hey moron, when has the triangle offense worked that didn't feature the best player in the game??? A-hole!) but if he can get Donnie Darko to play like tonight on a regular basis I may have to cut him some slack.

Funny thing about MINN taking a flyer on Darko, does it setup a Jefferson offseason trade? I mean, Darko at C and Love at PF. Just thinking out-loud here...but what about someone like McGrady at a SG/SF slot? Can't see him getting big bucks and MINN would have decent cap space. Hmmm.

T-Mac is available for the stretch run for those in contention.

Looking to improve next 1-2 years. Doesn't mean I want to give him away. Upgrades in drafts picks or young keeper-level talent ready to develop or injured this year.

Heck, any of my specialty players are available too. Ives, Hill, Okafor, Beno, JJ

Hurry hurry hurry a trophy awaits.

Only 3? I'd have thought it was bigger than that.

My list of keepers has now almost reached my entire roster. I will certainly need to move several players......old, young, and in between.

Nellie has been known to do that. Lots of examples over the years (including this year) of people having nagging injuries and/or just having lowered production due to overload.

Nellie won't be there after this season...but what happens if they get the 1st overall pick?

They gotta go with Evan Turner as they already have Ellis and Curry in the backcourt despite how good John Wall might be...

Didn't Nellie sign an extension that covers next year? Only way I see him going is if there is an ownership change. I could see Ellis being moved to free up space (for more guards/small forwards, if Nellie is still there).

Thanks everyone. A couple of key trades made a huge difference for me. Yes rsf, including the trade I made with you lol. Acquiring Odom from PD and Gibson from yokel were also pivotal. Oh yeah, and having some guy named Lebron James doesn't hurt either.

I'm looking forward to next year! If you are short a keep, look no further. I have about 13 keeper worthly guys. For now, I'll just savor the win. These leagues are incredibly tough to win so I'm going to enjoy it!
