Hate to bother anyone with this but did want to put it out there and get some advice on what to do.......
I forgot to set my roster before 11 PM eastern last night....therefore I will NOT get my 4 trades next Tuesday. Basically from my mind I feel like throwing in the towel and have requested a refund and have decided to say the hell with this game for this year. Reason is they have the argument ..... if I did not set a roster last night then I am somehow getting an advantage on seeing or riding the price movers......problem with that is NO price moves yet so in my mind the rule should read having your roster set by tonight at 11 as it is the last time to set rosters before the first price moves.
So I ask all of you what should I do as an answer from TSN will not come till after tonight as it will then be two days with no points or a valid roster and I know Paul at least will be nice to have and a nice price mover. How do I salvage this horrible start. I do not mind missing the points from last night but again tonight then no trades for two weeks.....LOL They can have the teams back then right? |

You are in a tough spot. If they won't refund your money you might as well put your lineups in for tonight. On the other hand, if you put your rosters in tonight, your odds of getting your money back just went to zero. Good luck with that one!

I'm not sure why they would consider refunding your money. You purchased their product and their rules were there to read. I really doubt they issue a refund but anything is possible.
If I was you I'd probably find some players because I doubt your chances of getting a refund are good.

Why dont you play Challenge CJ if you really feel like playing, not getting 4 trades is a real disadvantage, it will suck.
Ask a refund or credits for trades (challenge aka Basic)

3 deejay I will see where I end up with having 4 less trades this year NOT like I am a stud owner each year...I just like trash talking and competing with all of you so in the end what is my problem....4 less trades for me...Ha Ha Ha will it really matter for me..LOL Probably not
I suck real bad at the franchise value near the end of the year and that is my number one pitfall with this game.
I am picking guys from teams I will have to let run for at least two weeks...still do not understand why waiting one day gains me anything? No price changes yet!

4 trades is nothing. I waste at least 10 a year picking up guys that suck or get hurt immediately. Avoid those and you'll catch up with no issue :)

LOL yep I will play just was not happy abotu it lst night for sure. Getting a hang of the new format and the first time I looked at the format I was going to pick my teams....well spent that time locating where to go...LOL and did not complete lineups then missed it last night.

I did the same thing last year. I was working too much and didn't know they changed the rules.
They declined my request for a refund. It sucked the first couple of weeks as I watched my opponents make trades and build up RV and points on me. But, I played the team out and still won $40. It is a long season.

This is a dumb question but can someone tell me where the player by player daily price changes can be found- all I can seem to find is the full list of price changes for all players and my total price change? I guess I could look up each of my players individually but I am not going to do that every night.Thanks.

To see your players' price changes:
On the right-hand side, there is a drop-down arrow which says "Stats View". Click the arrow and it should give you some drop-downs to chose from. Chose "Financials" and it will show you most recent price changes for your roster.

Price movers are weak. Maybe it is the first night and not much movement huh? Might we see more swings in the coming days? I feel like tunnel vision when looking at my team....hope more features are given or I get used to this...I liked the old format by far and the live update to me is useless....it is not live!

eeeewww well I found out in here as well in the first nights thread. I find it to be a rule that is not necessary but in the meantime they are missing so much other stuff. As if they are policing for a small few who like to hold off with getting their rosters set (NOT ME...NEVER HAVE) but not we serve the penalty and in the end it puts a bad taste in me for this game with this site. I am going to happily leave if I get my refund. No DOUBT! It is not just that I missed getting my roster set it is this format is not what it was last year and I am Dissatisfied with the product I purchased and requested a refund before I set my roster. So much of the changes which I do not see any benefits from.....yet we lost so much of great value in the game with team links from a player and price movers screen with list of hot and cool price movers and value list. They dumped soooo much ........and all of this from people that wanted to drop the game. So they went from dropping the game to totally revamping the whole format.

They did it. I got a full refund and my teams are removed. Thank You TSN as I do not think there is another way I can imagine I would have quit this game. kind of have been addicted to it for years and really needed to stop playing it. So with this new interface and my message to TSN letting them know my dissatisfaction and then not getting but 4 trades for the first two weeks....a JOKE....that that is more important than providing a user friendly interface on day one. They gave me a refund so I have to say nice to see they are nice enough to do that. One good positive the communication is pretty good and response times seem to be fair. I did place a roster together last night just in case. Will miss it at times but do not need it and especially when I feel like I am in a tunnel when I am navigating to look at data dealing with my team or potential players.
Good luck guys and no real threat here....with me being gone...LOL

You can see it on the "buy player" page by selecting "Financial History" in the second dropdown menu. Then you have to scroll the display to the right in order to see the ownership numbers (formatting is awful). Then click on the column heading for ownership to get it sorted by ownership. Then scroll to the right again.
Channing Frye has the highest ownership with 620 (49%). LeBron has the second highest ownership at 598 (47%).

Does anybody know how long it takes TSP to update player eligibility positions? I have CDR and can only keep him if he gains forward eligibility in the next 4 days. I though I saw somewhere a player must start at a position 5 times to gain eligibility at that position. After tonight, CDR will have started 5 games at Forward. I was wondering if anyone knew in past years how long it takes until they actually add the new position to a player.

THERE IS NO UNDO BUTTON.
From the FAQ: There is no longer a need to "undo" a trade. Since we are only comparing your current roster to your last frozen roster, you simply need to put the original player back on your team and you will get your trade back. For example, if you have James on your 11pm frozen roster from the night before, then you trade him for Bryant, then you trade back to James, you will get your trade back. Each player will freeze at their scheduled gametime. You can trade back to an original player at any time and still get your trade back, as long as the players involved in the trade have not yet frozen, nor has the next roster freeze passed.
That means that if you make a trade, all you have to do to "undo" the trade is buy back the original player, and the trade comes back with him. Or: You can buy yet another new player, and still only one trade will be counted. Using the example above, you might sell James, buy Bryant, sell Bryant, buy Anthony, sell Anthony, buy Moon, sell Moon, and buy Marion, all in two minutes, for one forward position, and only one trade will be deducted because the system is only seeing that you went from James to Marion.

compare him to gallinari, who will lose money and he plays a similar amount of games, hibbert looks legit and a good cheap player to lock in. I dont see better options to go too right now for 2.5 or less, but i may have to check again.

that is the only thing i never understood about the ultimate game and is probably the reason I suck so bad at it, is people are always selling early in my opinion and giving up games in trades...i suck at ultimate, i dont know why i play it, my best wwr is like 350...

I know it's not the "right" day to move him, but Tuesday is a light trading day and I'm not sure I'll miss the 11 points he'll put up. I don't have that much cash in reserve, I'll have to see if i can make the move later. He does play GSW though, so, easy points.

63> The key to the whole selling early thing is to do it without giving up games. The earlier into a player and the earlier out of him will always be most profitable. Let me give an example. You have Paul right now who is fairly highly owned. You move him to James with almost no owners on 11/10. That move won't gain a game until 11/18 but I guarantee it will be a profitable one. Points will most likely be equal. Usually there are even better examples but that was one that jumped out at me and I may not even do it. Later on in the year this happens less and less as managers try to find smooth transitions from stud to stud. Sometime a cheapie game will be sacrificed early in the year in Ultimate for the sake of dollars. Unlike basic it is a full season game so the earlier you get a high rv the more it will matter. I hope this helps a little.

Blatch to Hibbert, and someone (I have a lot of crappy options- steph curry, pecherov, brewer, mello, gasol) to jennings as soon as I get my trades. Hate to use 2 trades on Wed, but need to shake things up.
Blatche, mello, gasol, and minn all have weak schedules coming up, and I need to hold some of those guys.
Im thinking I will hold Gasol, Thompson, and Curry since I like having them on my team (I think curry will start to play better soon)
