There are several attractive, mid priced or lower options emerging today. What are Frye and Thompson owners doing as they enter a slight schedule blip? |

I think you've answered your own question Dave. Don't punish yourself by hoping for JThomp to do well, ditch the geek!

Holding Thompson on teams that have him for now. May need to evaluate game to game but like schedule starting next week and use trade later in the holiday season.

The thing with Frye is that people always need a cheapie. In two days his schedule is excellent again, and all throughout the week there are some great options on the more expensive side so people will need to have a cheapie in another slot to facilitate them.
12/9 Decent hit, but a bit muted due to the many players being sold and high volume of trading 12/10 Probably a follow up hit 50%-75% of tonight's hit 12/11 Hold steady (or even gain) 12/12 Hold steady (unless he really sucks) 12/13 Small hit (no cheapies to buy, many expensive players to take) 12/14 Hold steady, maybe even a small gain 12/15 A top gainer, and sustained gains for the next couple weeks

While both will get sold by some both seem like holds options. Of course arguements and $ situations exist to support sells but those that hold have decent players and save a trade as x-mas approaches.

The "gap" in Frye's schedule doesn't seem long enough to allow a true sell-off to occur. If his schedule on the other side of it were rocky it would be a different story, but you know in at most six days people are going to be buying into him (and at a high volume).

No plans for Frye at this time. For both players I wouldnt expect a mass return as lock any time soon. F an C spots are loaded for most people and there are plenty of mid range F and C's coming into play this week that will make things even tighter at those spots. A cheap guard later this week would be quite valuable.

Since it is cheapies we are looking at and I think most would like to hold until Jan 1 to conserve trades, I ran the sartibles from 12/11 (the best day to buy Frye if one was going to) thru 12/29.
Top cheapies under $4 mil (since both Thompson and Frye) 1. Ariza 2. Landry 3. Brooks 4. Thompson 5. Varejao 6. Jennings 7. L Williams (out) 8. Hibbert 9. Hughes 10. Curry 11. Frye

well a couple things ...
1. All of those players except jennings and frye plays on the 29th, if you take the dates from 12/11 - 12/28 it would look a lil different.
2. Frye is also cheaper then all of those people except for Hibbert.
I would agree at this point I don't know if I would buy into Frye anymore > but I dont see a need to spend a trade to move him to any of those options above.

illmatic,
In post 9 I mentioned that holding both had merit. I was just looking at buy back potential and posted that info above in 11/12. Also, Frye is owned by 42% (5th highest) so unless there was a mass sell-off he probably wont be bought back in large volumes. That doesn't mean he would be a sell but I agree with you that he may not be a big buy anymore.
