RecycledSpinalFluid recently brought to my attention that I had not posted anything of value on these boards lately. Even though he's right, and that's not really a change from how things were previously, I have decided to do something about it.
I can't really post about basketball. Honestly, I haven't followed this season very closely, and there are probably scores of people on these boards who know more about it than me.
However, I do know a lot of things. So here's a perfect opportunity for you. Simply respond in this thread and ask me a question. It can be about sports. It can be about music. It can be about rocket science. It can be any question you want to know the answer to. If I know the answer, I will tell you it. If not, I will make up an answer. Or I will simply ignore you.
Good luck! |

I don't actually know if he saw his shadow this year or not. I do know, however, that if Punxatawny Phil does see his shadow in February 2nd, it means 6 more weeks of winter.

I'll field this one. Punxiemienhteixz Phil saw his shadow, so according to him we are due for more cold weather. However, out on the west coast the gophers came out and also saw their shadows. They took it as a sign to start mating and eating everything in sight.

Coincidence? I think not. So, my question is, will Blue Hen donate his Slam Dunk championship winnings to the Guru, and for one year be given the label of "Slam Leader?"

Huh. I didn't know that RSF. Anyway, I just noticed that in my last post (or is it most recent?) numbered 64, I called the almighty one "Bluen Hen." Ordinarily, I'd self-edit that. However, I'm real curious as to what subliminal message that may convey. Or, what subliminal message may have been in my head when I typed it, sort of "forcing me" to type it. Maybe I was compelled.
PS: No bluen hen sighting yet tonight, I believe this is conclusive proof that he is indeed the 5th dunker in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Either that, or he was abducted by aliens, and is having a metal chip installed in his trapezius area, as a homing device of sorts. It may be the new way to hunt. Not sure.

Whoever was enjoying themselves by inflating the ratings (programmatically, no doubt) somehow managed to screw up some of the related files.
I managed to restore the thread title file, but did not salvage the rating file (not that I wanted to).
I'd respectfully ask whoever was doing this to cease and desist. It was amusing at first, but the novelty has worn off. Furthermore, this activity strains system resources, and magnifies the potential for related file errors.
I'm also closing this thread to avoid the potential propagation of further errors.
