I just installed a new 75 GB hardrive since I only had like 8 GB before. But now some things are a little different. I used to go to yahoo fantasy sports by clicking on the fantasy tab on the sports page, but when I do this now, i get a 'cannot find server' page with a 'the page cannot be displayed message.' also, occasionally when i get popups, they have the same messages, and when i try to click on some links (like an article on a players yahoo profile) i get the same error page. also, my Snood used to run real smooth but now it is real slow and I don't know why or what to do? can anyone who actually read all this help? |

How old is your BIOS? If you don't know, how old is your computer?

If the computer is that old, the BIOS may even be from the prior calendar year (making it 5 years old etc). Many such BIOS were not capable of handling hard drives as big as 20 GB much less 75. You may need to "flash" your BIOS. Check who the manufacturer of it was when you restart Windows----it comes up on the 1st screen. Then check their web site.
You can stay clothed when you do it. ;)

Good one Mike :)
WG, I would follow Mike's suggestion, but you might find that a computer that old might require you to buy the bios chip instead of just downloading the software to flash the current....
The problem could be something else all together.Try the simplest routes first; it might be as simple as updating your your IE or OS. Also try posting the specs and the OS...
My suggestion is to have whomever installed your HD take a look at it. If you have to pay, get a friend or a relative to look at it..

I know that's what you do to Compaq's. Does that work for all computers?

Is it an East Coast BIOS? If so you may be eligible for the Heisman. Sorry Carson Palmer.

It is actually safer if you remove all clothing prior to doing it.
