Time to get this thread going.
I am very displeased with the treatment of Imperialism. I agree with Mulhall and disagree with what they did. They had already shipped the horse to the west coast. You don't immediately ship him back and have him run in the race. The owners should have trusted the young girl to make the right choice. Instead they bullied her into shipping him back to run again. That said I don't expect a good race from Imperialism.
I like Lion Heart's chances to run well again, but probably not enough to win. With Cliff's Edge's injuries I don't expect much of him either.
I am beginning to liken Smarty Jones to Seattle Slew. Undefeated horse that nobody really thinks is as good as he is. Is he Seattle Slew? Not likely, but a decent comparison.
I'll go with Smarty Jones, Eddington, and Lion Heart and box them. I also expect Borrego to make a strong run at the leaderboard and he could easily sneak in as well. |
