with 8 votes cast (MITH's no longer counts), we've got 4 for, and 4 against.

i'm curious why those who vote against it, do so.
having only 4 keepers makes it very difficult, for example, to really draft a hyped rookie and hold onto him. to me, that's part of what makes football fun.

Let's vote on it.
Nah! Of course you do, B7. In fact, if you don't vote, you're fired.

Wiggs - i am proposing for next season. while i'd personally love 5 keepers this season, i can understand the side of people who believe it to be unfair for the immediate season.

The answer for me would be to have a larger draft pool and in turn, a better free agent pool during the year. This allows for more parity and the opportunity for teams like B7, just coming into the league, to field a team more in his image than MITH's.
Last year we had two(?) new teams. The fewer high end players available during the draft, the more the draft becomes less of an impact in determining league strength.

That's a very small uncertain no. I would have voted for 5 off keepers to start the league. I am usually the guy for more keepers and bench slots. It just seems that 4 off keepers makes a really dramatic first pick in this particular sport. If we had 5 keepers many would be set at either RB, WR or QB. This way most people will be torn three ways on the first pick. Ask me again tomorrow and you might get a different answer.
